Except ur not holding anything in ur hand the move is a better way to play

StifflerK4436d ago

You can hold anything , even a real club ( if you have the space) and it'll work fine.
Plus you get the voice recognition, which looks decent.

It says all that in the article....

360GamerFG4436d ago

Yeah but that would actually require him to read past the headline

Mikhail4436d ago

Actually, the move is better for this type of game.

mcstorm4436d ago

Why is the Move better than Kinect for this type of game?

Im looking forward to seeing this game on Kinect and ill defo download the demo for both Move and Kinect (if ea gave us one) to see which one I like the best for my self. I enjoy golf on Kinect sports 2 but this is more about fun like Wii sports Golf but the way EA have decided to do this game on Kinect looks interesting.

Mikhail4436d ago (Edited 4436d ago )

just my preference, I didn't like kinect sports like you do. I think the move is more suitable to this game because you are holding a peripheral that is similar to a golf club. Well, we each have our own references. I mainly used kinect for the dance games, great game for parties and get together with some friends.

Wh15ky4436d ago

I'd imagine he's refering to the fact that you are holding something that resembles the handle of a golf club (although it is far to chunky) and that provides physical feedback when striking the ball.

I have TW: The Masters for PS3 and didn't waste much time using the Move for it as it's pretty poor. I'll, no doubt, get a shot of this when I visit my brother as he has Kinect and is a golf freak but I'm not holding out much hope for it as I can't imagine the swinging feeling any better the Move or Wii.

mcstorm4436d ago

That's a fair comment I was not having a go I was just wondering. I think the way it has been done for Kinect will be more realistic because of the way they have decided to track your body. Like I said ill give it a go on Move and Kinect before deciding on which one I will pickup.

The titles suggests more than the article explains.

While I'm interested in how this plays, I can't help thinking that a lot of the subtleties involved with a golf swing aren't going to be possible. Just my opinion.

IM_KINECTED4436d ago

Have you ever used Kinect? It can pick up your eyebrows moving and the opening and closing of your mouth. It will be fine, people that haven't used one think it doesn't have accurate readings, which isn't true at all.

AtomicGerbil4436d ago

Calm down! I'm thinking more along the the lines of a twist of the wrist during a swing. Which is important if this is going to be the best sports game ever, don't you think?

KMCROC544436d ago

At last a game that does not require me to hold a Sex tool.

Biggest4436d ago

How do you have sex with SNES controller? Seems uncomfortable.

It Seems Easy, But Tiger's Greatest Feat is Damn Hard in a Video Game

Kotaku - In no rec league could I ever throw a no-hitter. Alone on a basketball court I'd need half an hour to score 69 points—and a trampoline to dunk. But I can do all of those things in my living room. If video games give us the conceit of doing the impossible, only now has one demonstrated how hard that really is.

Very tempted to get SSX for $10.

guitarded774107d ago

Well worth $10... not sure it was worth the $60 I paid for it.

Also, is it messed up that I already have everything on that list? I'm getting better at not buying games and waiting for sales because it feels like a kick in the nuts when I see a game I payed full price for at $10.

TrendyGamers4107d ago

A little messed up, it's a lot of games!

Yi-Long4107d ago

... while we in Europe also get these deals, yet SSX is 15 EURO, which means even though it's on sale for us as well, it's still twice as expensive as what the USA gamers have to pay for the same game...

.... which is obviously ridiculous.

guitarded774107d ago

@ Yi-Long

I have been sympathetic to gamers in other countries getting price gouged for a long time. I think it sucks that your prices are higher, especially while your currency value is inflated. Check out US amazon.com and see if they ship to your country. I have friends in South America, Europe and elsewhere that order from there to get lower prices. Some still have to pay import duties, but it is still cheaper for them go the extra mile.

JohnApocalypse4107d ago

Dam, no sale on the Battlefield 3 map packs

InsaneGam3r4107d ago

There's sale on the Premium Membership.

All those games and DLC on sale, sweet

TotalSynthesisX4107d ago

EA is being nice?

...Wait a minute.

Will be picking up LBPK for 10 dollars. This might be the closest PS3 users will get to a steam sale on PSN.

A step in the right direction, Sony.

@Nitrowolf2, I have the Jak & Daxter and Ratchet & Clank collections on Disc, but if I didn't that would be a great way to get into those games.

Unfinished Swan was on sale during the Holiday Essentials sale and I missed it, so this time I don't plan on doing that again.

Nitrowolf24115d ago

The Unfinished Swan – Regular $14.99, Sale $7.49, PS Plus $3.75
Ratchet & Clank – Regular $14.99, Sale $7.49, PS Plus $3.75
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy – Regular $7.99, Sale $3.99, PS Plus $2.00

Already have the colelction, but since I'm Plus those prices are just to good to miss.

calis4115d ago

So you're buying a game you already have?

KangarooSam4115d ago (Edited 4115d ago )

Those are the three I'm planning on getting :P

I think. lol.

Great sale!

Edit: LBP Karting looks fun too, though. Not sure whether to get LBPK and US or US, R&C, and J&D. I need a sale where all four of those cost $15 haha.

Nitrowolf24115d ago

@Calis

Yeah I am, $2.00 is dirt cheap, it'll be nice to have the extra digital version.

MikeMyers4114d ago

Some good deals. Definitely getting The Unfinished Swan.
