Three Gaming Trilogies That May Never Be Finished

The “rule of three” suggests that everything, from comedy to public speaking, is more gratifying and effective when done thrice. Whether it is the classic fairy tale of Snow White where the protagonist’s wicked stepmother visits her three times before she falls into a deep stupor because of a poisoned apple or a three-panel daily comic strip, the “rule of three” has deep roots in video games in the form of trilogies.

With the way rumors have been going I'd replace Battlefront 3 with Shenmue 3.

I don't get why SWBF3 hasn't been made yet!? It literally has the potential to be as big COD.

As big? It could be so much more than that. Star Wars needs a rebirth in the gaming community. TOR is only the beginning of that.

There are three potential projects in the works that could be Battlefront 3.

One is Spark Unlimited's project they have been teasing for a long time with Star Wars references. Now it could be Battlefront or it could be something else entirely.

Two. Rebellion has an unannounced third person shooter in development as of 2012 listed as TBA. Was on their website til they changed up their site a little. Potentially a next-generation title coming in 2013 or so.

Three. Crytek could potentially be developing it. They have started a new project as of February. So something could be brewing. If so its likely hitting in late 2013 for next generation release.

Agreed, and makes me very sad. I really liked Too Human. Sure it had flaws, but it showed so much promise.... I mean come on people! It had space Vikings!!!!

I would love to see an inFAMOUS 3 too, but after the way 2 ended, don't think so.

And Battlefront 3 is an excuse to print money. I agree, I have no idea why that game has not been made yet. One of my favorites for PS2

I'm pretty sure inFAMOUS 3 is going to happen because let's be honest everything is a trilogy nowadays and I remember reading somewhere that Cole in number 3 is going to get a teleportaion power like Nix and Kuo had.

I hope they give you some of the powers from the dlc, especially the bat flight one, was really cool flying across the city, dropping on someone for a snack then flying off again.

I'd like to see fallout 4 run on the new engine that Skyrim has, and bring the messanger from Vegas, and the Vault hero from 3 together. Maybe use that as an excusse to introduce co-op.

I'd like to travel maybe texas/new mexico. and DLC could include Hollywood, and a bigger New York.

i wish for a kingdom hearts 3 sometime in my lifetime. a proper parasite eve, the last game was more an alternate universe. and if there is ANY chance for another chrono game my life will be complete.
