Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk2 is a game that tries really hard. It wants to be one of those old-school-feeling JRPGs that fans appreciate for both the nostalgic take on the franchise and for its take on current events.
So many great games, so many franchises saved by developers revisiting exactly what it is players want. Hopefully, other developers wallowing in mediocrity can look to these games as blueprints for what they should do going forward.
Oprainfall interviews the translation staff at Idea Factory International about how they tackle localization.

Still getting this, the reviews have mostly been positive, and say what you want about the first game, the original idea and good satire made it worth it.
