Does NBA Live 13 Stand a Chance Against NBA 2K13? (Gamerlive.tv)

EA Sports' NBA franchise is returning...but can it stack up to 2K Sports' juggernaut?

EA won't be able to match 2k in the gameplay department.Right now EA wished they had the NBA license all to themselves so could just throw out garbage/add gimmick features every year.2k should create a boxing game since EA can't even produce a true Fight Night anymore.

First of all Nba Live 13 has been in developement much longer than 2k13, second of all you haven't even seen Nba Live 13 so how you know the gameplay won't be good, third of all its people like you who resent ea so much that you just can't stand them doing well.

NBA Live hasnt been good at all this gen i dont think it will be GREAT right out of the blue.

Besides its going to take alot to dethrone 2K

And personally i praise EA when they do good games (Dead Space, SSX, BF3) and bash them when they F up ( Fight night, Live, parts of Madden..etc)

You do realize that 2K will up their game with 2K13 because they KNOW that Live 13 is coming right?

2K responds to competition. If 2K wasn't such a threat to EA in the NFL department there would be no way in HELL EA would have shelled out the amount of money they did to get the NFL license.

I am waiting for the day that contract expires and hopefully we can get a real next gen NFL game.

EA should be ashamed at what they are doing or lack of what they are doing with the NFL/NFL Films/ESPN licences, if they gave Madden as much attention as they do with FIFA maybe we would have something great

This should motivate EA more, finally knowing they're not the best. To be completely honest I think the new NBA Live game could be pretty decent...

The trick is controls. EA has the brand recognition and on-par graphics (hopefully), game play is what's going to determine the outcome. That's what got me off NHL 2K and back to NHL (enter year) series, the controls are just perfect.

It'll be tough though...We shall see

They should just wait & focus on Next-Gen. That would be their best shot. 2K has this Gen LOCKED DOWN!!

It might be hard for EA to dethrone 2K period, but having another quality basketball game won't be bad thing, LIVE imo always had the better graphics and presentation, but 2K stepped their game up in that department too! I can't wait to see what NBA Live 13 is gonna be like, because these guys have had a lot of time to fix this franchise and my expectations are high, so lets see! Now let me get back to 2K11.....

After EA canceled NBA Live 11 and 12 or NBA Elite i should say now. I had no choice but to give NBA 2k a shot and i have to admit the LINSANITY controls of NBA 2K was FLAWLESS compared to NBA Live. I'll give NBA Elite 13 a try but if it garbage(like NBA Elite 11 was)i'll stick with NBA 2K.
