The Game Jar - SSX Video Review

Lee Williams for TheGameJar.com - SSX took a lot of gambles with the decisions it made – it’s tough for an old game to come back after so long and be fresh while giving veterans what they want. They paid off though; the old boys like myself are well catered for even to the extent where we have a controller option for the classic face button controls allowing us to just pick up right were we left off all those years ago. The new-age of riders who may be more accustomed to a control scheme using the thumb sticks like we seen in EA’s Skate can also just pick up a pad and get on with it, with both options remaining easily accessible to new comers. add to that all those little details and a solid gameplay experience and it puts SSX on my contender for game of the year list.
