Good advice. One can go the amd route such as the 1090T to spend more less in the cpu amd motherboard.

Go Intel my friend! 1090T is a bottleneck waiting to happen. A Core i5 2500k at $200 ($20 more than a 1090T) is a far better value and Intel mobos have dropped in price.

Core i5 2500k doesn't know the meaning of Bottleneck and especially at 4.5ghz it CRUSHES a AMD 1090t.

Intel has made AMD irrelevant and even with prices. Intel's prices on last Gen CPU's have dropped and the performanc is still on par with AMD Bulldozer.

Your best bet is to price shop by stores or just shop at Newegg.com cause they have the lowest prices.

Now if you need to build a Gaming PC for $300 then YES go AMD but at the $500 level and higher go INTEL.

As far as GPU's AMD gpu's will always be cheaper than Nvidia and will provide you with quality gaming.

If you really really need to save money.......Don't buy a case and just sit your mobo on a rubber mat BUT NEVER NEVER penny pinch on the PSU!

sometimes amazon has better price options free shipping and no tax of course with slower shipping.

I am basing prices here in Asia wherein the price difference between intel and amd route is still huge. I visited newegg and see that the US enjoys less disparity. I myself had gone with intel and nvidia as I have money to waste.

I've tested the MSI Claw - it is underwhelming

Alekaha writes: "We've gone hands on with the MSI Claw and while it offers powerful performance, its price point and lack of a USP hold it back."
