RG3 Earns NCAA Football 13 Cover Honor

StickSkills.com writes, "The NFL Combine is in full force this week, and the comparisons between Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III are discussed every ten minutes on ESPN. While the two players will be linked for quite some time, it appears that RG3 will be able to have the NCAA Football 13 cover all to himself."

I bet he ends up on the Redskins.

Emilio_Estevez4447d ago (Edited 4447d ago )

I hope not, for his sake. That is where QB's go to die. I think he is going to be better than Luck, so I hope he gets a chance to start this year for a team that isn't terrible.

JonahFalcon4447d ago

Someone will trade up for him. I'm betting the Dolphins will if they can't get Peyton.

brettyd4447d ago

I could see Browns, or Seattle should trade up for him.

NoobJobz4447d ago

As a Seahawks fan, I would love to trade up to get him. We went 7-9 with Tarvaris as QB. Winning any games with him as QB is impressive in my mind. I want to see what we could do with a good QB.

DeadIIIRed4447d ago

I'm still trying to figure out how he won the Heisman. As much as I despise Bama, Trent Richardson was a better fit. Hell, as far as QB's go Kellen Moore is by far better than RG3.

NoobJobz4447d ago (Edited 4447d ago )

Watching his games would tell you why he won. Highly accurate, great deep ball, can scramble if needed, stays calm under pressure, great leader. Speaking of accuracy, most of the incompletions were dropped passes, which is the receivers fault. I rarely saw an incomplete pass that was his fault because of a bad throw. What I will say is college success doesn't always equal NFL success. But just looking at the college career, he was one of the most exciting players I've watched.

Trent was deserving as well.

I'm not even going to comment on the Kellen Moore part. Just ridiculous.

DeadIIIRed4447d ago

Why is that ridiculous? Moore has a better pass % than RG3 and I can think of a number of passes that were dropped by the receivers from him as well.

Emilio_Estevez4447d ago (Edited 4447d ago )

O Really? Is that why RG3 won the Heisman and will be picked well ahead of Moore? In the top 5, prolly 2nd or 3rd and Moore isn't even showing as a 1st rounder. While your trying to figure it out, try watching football first, it's a good start.

GanjaMan4447d ago

This isn't football, the real /original football is played with your feet not this stupid way!

Hicken4447d ago

What I wish is that the NCAA would stop trying to convince people that that hundreds of millions they make off these kids every year is somehow equivalent only to the scholarships given out.

Congrats to RG3, though.

Attorney Against NCAA & EA Sports Speaks Out

"It’s apparent to us that the NCAA’s decision to end its long and hugely profitable relationship with EA is tied directly to the pressure our litigation is bringing to bear."

EA is always caught doing something shady

dbjj120883940d ago

Probably not seeing another NCAA game.

ftwrthtx3940d ago

That would be sad. It's usually a better experience than Madden every year.

gedden73940d ago

Nope they confirmed that they will bring it out next year...

dbjj120883940d ago

OK thanks, now I gotta get back to playing NBA Elite 11, NBA Live 12, and NBA Live 13....

jlm93940d ago

They can still make a college football game with individual licences from the Schools. Although it will be hard to sell as the player likenesses will have to be extremely generic

TrailerParkBoys3940d ago

Hope NFL follows in their footsteps, anyone know when that licensing agreement runs out? I would love some competition from other studios. Especially from Sony like how they rule with The Show. Sony hockey game sounds good too, mmmm

RiPPn3940d ago

The NFL contract ends this year, and from what I've read, EA no longer wants to pay the NFL asking price for the exclusive contract so things could get interesting.

On a side note DirecTV is rumored to be considering whether or not to renew their Exclusive Sunday Ticket contract that expires in 2015, so it appears the NFL is pricing themselves out of lucrative deals.

I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOPE SO!!! I TRULY MISS NFL 2K football!!!

:-/ I still think it should be a mascot on the cover.

ftwrthtx4082d ago

I completely agree

Cheerleaders for Madden would be cool as well.

knifefight4082d ago

Seriously! Any given athlete has a max of 4 years playing for this school. The mascot lasts practically forever!

Analyzing the Annualized: 2012 Edition

Annualized sports game is something that never gets the attention it deserves. They’re a nuisance to some and there’s no doubt that they never change too drastically from year to year but as most sports fans will tell you, they change just enough. Though that can’t always be said as some games seemingly churn out nearly the same experience year to year or, of course, have an off year or two. In this feature I will analyze the sports games of 2012 and ultimately decide which sports game did the most to improve, and which did the least. This is by no means determining the Sports Game of the Year category in our annual GiR awards; it’s merely my opinion on the past year’s beloved recurring franchises that often include a ball… or a puck if you want to get real crazy.
