Siliconera: Nintendo will release a downloadable demo of Hatsune Miku and Stars: Project Mirai so if you have a Japan region 3DS you can try the game ahead of its March 8 release date.
Total shipments of the Hatsune Mike series have surpassed 2.5 million units in Japan as of July 2, SEGA announced today.

Considering that this number is the sum of sales of eight games, for me it's a little underwhelming. The way SEGA promotes Hatsune Miku's games in Japan (I even bought the one for Vita when I went there because of the heavy marketing - and I don't even like Hatsune Miku) I thought they were more popular.

I believe the 3DS game is getting a sequel.
As for importing it on your Vita... well, I'd certainly recommend doing so. It's absolutely fantastic, and one of the best Vita games, period.
If you've got a PS3, though, you may want to wait. There's some speculation that the PS3 port might get localized soon.

The demo's for Japan only unfortunately , I hope this gets a western release .
I swear miku in this game is cuter then a puppy and a kitty playing with each other.
