There is no information Right now as to whether it is going to be Mutiplatform or a Exclusive. Sony Has to fork out the money if they want it to stay there, but as always if it goes Multi you can only get the full story if you buy a PS3 so.... ehh ill still buy it on PS3 cause that where it plays best.

I just want to move on from Solid Snake and his universe. I had a complete closure at the end of MGS4 and I have no problems with a new MGS but please, make it a completely new story. I don't feel like drudging more through Solid and just want a fresh new MGS saga experience with familiar gameplay.

I can say that if I see Solid Snake in the next game I will not buy.

Kojima is an exceptional designer, director, and writer but I feel he is getting lazy by not starting from a clean slate for a new epic series.

It will probably be on all platforms that are supported by the FOX engine. People clamoured for 'Guns of the Patriots' to be multiplatform and when most people realised it wasn't happening, Konami went ahead and announced Metal Gear Solid and Zone of the Enders games coming to other platforms. That immediately told me that all future MGS games will be multiplatform, and I think it's only fair. The MGS franchise has always been on a range of platforms.

The PS3/Vita project is something different I think. That's something to be excited for in itself.

I think it is better to assume that it is multi-platform and that the worst case scenario includes the Wii and 3DS too. :P This way, we won't be disappointed no matter what platform the game is announced on. :D

Agreed. Still trying to figure out what it might be. Seems like another Big Boss game to me unless the artwork has nothing to do with the next MGS. David Hayter(voice of Snake), about a week ago mentioned that he was recording something with Paul Eiding(voice of Colonel Campbell) at a studio but said he can't say what it was. I wonder if it has anything to do with this. Maybe a teaser trailer is in preparation? Who knows. God dammit Kojima, make it happen!

I think it takes place in Zanzibar--especially since its where Big Boss sets up camp in Metal Gear 1. Plus the kid is of obvious African decent and has what looks to be African beads around his neck. The dog definitely looks exactly the same in both pics too. Perhaps the child is Grey Fox, since I believe he met him as a child of war in Zanzibar, Africa. I'm very excited about this game!!!

This will most likely be a PSVita/PS3 game. It'll probably be a sequel to Peace Walker using the same concept, except it'll be Foxhound (or probably another not known group given the dog picture).

I can already sort of tell where this is going. I just hope they use in-game cinematics. As much as I loved the drawings/comic-style, I missed Metal Gear Solid 4's cinematics (I know, crazy!).

I also hope it'll keep some Co-op and management features intact, along with a proper Multiplayer function.

Kojima did say Peace Walker was sort of a test for future Metal Gear games in regards to all the features. And how he was happy he had the PSP to test it on since it was so easy to develop for and costs weren't nearly as high as PS3.

I'm expecting good things from this. Especially following the amazing game named Peace Walker.

I think the Dog represents the HOUND. Personally i think that this is going to be a continuation to Peace Walker, following Big Boss' events in establishing FoxHound and recruiting Solid Snake and Gray Fox. Judging from the requirements on KP's official website; this title is going to be developed for the PS3 and Xbox as well... :)

Just because they are seeking people with multi platform doesn't mean it won't be exclusive...almost all dev's ask for this...even Naught Dog had a poster like this last year....also if I'm not mistaken last tgs Kojima said he was working on a Vita/ps3 game....

If the artwork is anyhow related to the concept of the upcoming game, it's most likely that the new game will be taking place after the events of PW, as Big Boss is not wearing the bandana in the artwork which was an obsession for him regarding The Boss, meaning that the game can not take place between MGS3>PW. He wore the damn thing all the time in those games. You'll also notice that his hair is longer than usual so my five bucks is going for the events after PW theory, which is probably the best suitable place in the MGS timeline for the fifth game.

Hardcore fans will never want the game to take place after the fourth game, as it will eventually turn out to be something different which may contradict with the traditional "tactical" gameplay of the game if it goes that direction and MGS can not take that kind of innovation anymore as Kojima pushed the limits in MGS4 already, or else it will become another RISING incident and no one wants that.

Events after PW sounds the best to me, we know nothing about how Big Boss's conflict with USA ended, which led to the production of the first Metal Gear by the Big Boss. That'll probably be the safest move and I'm sure that Kojima knows this quite well.

LMAO at all the people complaining about it becoming multiplatform. People saying it should be Sony exclusive are ignorant. Metal Gear has been on every brand of console except sega which I'm unsure of. This game won't be out for another 4 to 5 years probably yet you all are expecting this to be for the PS3/Vita? Most likely this will be on future platforms, PS4,Nexbox, Wii U, PC. And honestly that is good. Means more people can enjoy it. No offense on all of you fanboys for specific platforms, but if you get more than one console your ignorant arguments seem rather pathetic.

The thing I care most about is the fact that the job listing is also looking for a network game programmer! THAT MEANS METAL GEAR ONLINE 3 BABY!!!! This is great news especially since they just announced that they're closing MGO2 in the summer. A new MGS 5 and a new MGO! Life is good!

We saw the whole mgs franchise on various consoles so u ps fanboys shouldnt be crying when it will also be released on the xbox and wii-u..
