Everyone expected Sega to reveal a new Virtua Fighter title, namely VF6, during the 2023 The Game Awards, but that announcement revealed something else. One person in particular, who happens to be the head honcho behind the Tekken series, wants to know where Virtua Fighter 6 is.
"Sega has talked about rebooting old titles, but rebooting is difficult, it’s less likely to work,” said Aoki.
Bring back Yu Suzuki plz
I want the Arcade Mode like the PS3 version had. You could earn all the unlockables through it, it was brilliant and lengthy! Then they did Virtua Fighter 5 Showdown which went to micro transactions and removed that mode. Lame.... It had online mode, which the PS3 version didn't have, but I'd rather have that Arcade Mode than the online the 360 and subsequent consoles has gotten.
So, thanks for advocating for us, yeah, Virtua Fighter 6 and Virtual-On as well. Cool to see the fighting development community as fans of each other. Will be getting Tekken 8 as well
We will see one in five years. Wait I dont want to wait 5 or 10 years. They should already be working on it right now to release in two years
Watch the electric interview with Kastuhiro Harada – Director on the Tekken Project and Michael Murray – Producer on the Tekken Project to learn more about Arcade Quest mode and much more!
Makes sense. We didn't know the Wii could do online like in Mario Kart and Monster Hunter. We didn't know the GCN could run a game like Resident Evil 4. We didn't know the N64 could render Conker's Bad Fur Day. Nintendo always leaves surprises to be discovered.
Convincing the crowds of gamers who've overlooked Nintendo for the past two generations (Gamecube, Wii), will be something thrilling to witness.
Hmmm research phase of WiiU capabilities... not good.
Nintendo promised Tekken at last year's E3! I realize that the actual game was not running on a WiiU, but still... you showed it!
Man I hope Harada is suffering from amnesia right now, because I really had my hopes up for WiiU Tekken.
