Rumour mill: LA Noire not until '09, God of War 3 in '08 and more

VideoGamer.com give their opinion on the following rumors: Gears of War 2 on November 15, God of War 3 only a year away, Mass Effect coming to PS3 and LA Noire not until 09.

LA Noire not until 09

The Rumour: Take Two released its results for the fourth quarter of its financial year. Missing on a forecast for titles for 2008 is Rockstar's LA Noire, causing people to believe that the secretive title won't be out until 2009.

Verdict: While it's true that the game is missing from the forecast, Rockstar's financial year runs from November 1st to October 31st, meaning LA Noire could still see a release in November or December 2008.

Yaaaaaaaaaaawn... I hope GOW3 doesn't hit until March of 09... Which, it probably will. That's my prediction. I hope L.A. Norie is as good as everyone wants to hype it up as being too... It'd sure be a shame to be "let down" Rolls eyes.

As for Mass Effect and Gears of War coming to Ps3... I don't really want them too. What sets systems apart are exclusives. Mass and Gears are 2 huge exclusives right now... Don't take those away from MS. We need the competition for quality.

I'm a huge Sony supporter... but I'm more into quality and diversity and if this happens, it's only bad news for us gamers down the road.

Yea I agree exclusives should stay exclusive. It is funny however that 360 fans are eating there back their words. They said PS3 has no exclusive now what does 360 have?

does epic have enough resources to be working on the versions of ut3 for all plats and GeoW2 at the same time? i find next year for gears2 a lil unlikely.

Ummm...the article definitely mentions a possible November release date for Gears of War 2. Did you read the article or just the title?

Cannot wait....The fact that GOW1&2 was a truly breath taking experience...on the "PS2"....Like I said before unlimited funds and unlimited Sony support GOW3 will change the way we look at action games in the future....

---I believe that GOW3 will set a bar that will be tough to reach for future Devs....but again its a Win-Win..

--Reason I think GOW will make your eye lids melt...It will have heavy competition GOW2 and whatever other blockbuster title that will come out at that time...GOW3 has to shine it is Sony's baby..and there resources will make that clear....

--So I think it may be safe to say GOW3 will be out Holiday 2008..it only makes sense.

It does seem like a pretty stupid rumor to me. I mean I love my PS3 and I'd like to see it get another great game, but Microsoft published Mass Effect. That seems to pretty much confirm exclusivity in my books.

I hope those who want ME get it. Games should be available for everyone to enjoy... I however didn't enjoy it for my own reasons but. Meh... se la vi.

gears of war 2 will take the limits of the 360 to the next step and truly kick sony and there "god of war 3" right in there tiny balls

I think Gears 2 for the 360 will come out next year. I really think that there has been work going on that the devs do not want us to know about. So I think it will come out next year. As for GOW3 I see that coming out in March of 09. Because all the GOW games as of late have come out then. Plus even the PSP version will be coming out then. So my guess the same will happen to the PS3 version too.

As for LA Noire I can see the game come out in 09. May be that too will come out around March or April. This would mean that RockStar would have another big game come out a year after GTAIV.

but people kept talking about it so i searched it on google a few minutes ago and i saw the trailer and was impressed. if thats all gameplay or running under the engine they're gonna use all i can saw it wow. lighting is ridiculous. character models are good but the lighting....wow...

to give the game its time, all the time in the world, we don't games that aren't mastered. don't rush anything out. let things take its natural flow. and fanboys stop bugging devs give them their time because they want more than us to finish a game and publish it, but sometimes they hold back to ensure we have a good quality title
one example is lair(not saying it is not good). if sony didn't push factor 5 to publish the game quickly, they would have improved the six axis controls and implemented normal controls
