When I played RAGE I died near the end of a mission and I had to start over. Then I realized that u can hit start and on the pause menu, they have the option to save ur game. So I did that through the rest of the game lol. It's better just in case u die you dont need to start from the beginning.

I agree it could've benefited from a better checkpoint system. The pause and save method seems a little too much like old school pc than what we're used to with consoles. The game isn't perfect by any means, but it's way better than it's reputation.

I don't understand the hate Doom 3 got, but the original has to be tops for me too.
