Sex, games and porn

In games sex has never really been properly tackled. Yeah every now and then someone gets some and there are woman with massive jugs in every game under the sun, but it is odd that few games actually try to tackle the subject. XBIGY Games is asking for a more mature approach to the subject. This is just a fun article used to point out the weird way sex is portrayed by the games industry.

I honestly don't think it needs to be approached any more than it is.

I mean sex is hardly the fun part of a game, is it? A good story, with sexual references if needed, and good gameplay is what's good.

Otherwise you end up with companies using it to sell games, such as Evion and Soul Calibur 5. Which is not a positive direction for the games industry as it doesn't demonstrate the game at all.

No saying it should be used to sell games. What I meant was that games need to get a little more mature. Sex is important to us and can really affect our relationship with others. That's what needs to be explored instead of just the act itself.

How about in a RPG if you cheat on your spouse having a side mission where you find your mistress is pregnant and then have to pick one of the two women? Or you would have to talk them both down. Or leave them both? Or you could even kill them. Obviously these characters would have to be involved in the story somehow and this is just an example.

Since most people escape from the real world, they would probably cheat ingame.

I'm not insane in real life, I'm just intelligent enough to know that they are polygons, vertexes connected: a mesh.

If characters are story related, people will only keep those that seem most important to reach the end goal.

I don't think most people use their real life morals in games because they take a roll of a fictional character.

In a good RPG surely you make decisions how you want. If a game had multiple paths to take then it isn't a case of preserving your best assets.

I agree that most people don't take their real morals into games. I play as a d*ck in Mass Effect but I'd still like it if one of the crew of the Normandy did something about me sleeping with the whole crew.

I think it would be amazing to have your scorned lover having an OTT response, like setting fire to your beard or running away with your pet dog. I think that in a big RPG it could add an ultimately unnecessary but highly entertaining extra layer.
