PushSquare: "Forget everything we told you yesterday about Laughing Jackal's upcoming PlayStation Mini, Hungry Giraffe. It turns out that the game's titular scoffer is hungrier than expected -- so much so that Sony's been forced to push forward the game's release date by seven days.
"Hungry Giraffe will now drop onto the PlayStation Store on February 1st where it will be an exclusive for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Non-premium chongers will get to pick-up the scran obsessed mini-game from February 15th for £2.49."
Sometimes you just want to bury your face into a burger, or tear into a taco. Out on the African savanna, a Hungry Giraffe feels your pain. A 20 foot tall, 1200kg animal like the giraffe needs to chow down on tons of food each day just to stay alive, and now you can help achieve that on your Vita.
We get to grips with Laughing Jackal's remake for the PS Vita. Is it worth another look?
Pocket Gamer - In-app purchases, eh?
Whether you're a fan of paying to unlock features from within a game or not, there's no doubt that this payment model needs to be carefully employed so that it doesn't become intrusive or break the immersion.
Take Hungry Giraffe. On PSP it was a wonderful eat-'em-up. On PS Vita it's drowning in pleas for cash, and the main spectacle is completely destroyed as a result.
