Andriasang: Konami gave the Genso Suikoden Tsumugareshi Hyakunen no Toki official site a huge update today.
Whenever people talk about RPG series they would like to see make a comeback, Suikoden is often among the titles named. This Konami turn-based series is known for its massive character rosters, underdog stories where a newly form army challenges and triumphs against an established, opposing force and overarching storylines and concepts. It might be a little daunting, attempting to determine how to get into such a series. Well, [Michibiku is] here to help [readers] get into Suikoden!
It is one of the best JRPG's released in Ps1/Ps2 era and needs a revival or an HD collection. Super cheap when it's on sale, can play it on ps3, psvita. It has an amazing story and great gameplay.
The greatest 2D RPG series on the PS1. While Suikoden II has the best overall story, I'd put Suikoden V as second best in the series. Also for the love of all that is good and holy, skip Suikoden IV. Its almost unplayable. I'd rank the series as follows:
Suikoden II > Suikoden V > Suikoden > Suikoden III > Suikoden Tactics > Suikoden Tierkreis > eating a steaming pile of dog shit > Suikoden IV

“As we announced on June 5th, 2013, we have entered a partnership with Language Automation, Inc., (LAI), a company that specializes in game localization. LAI will be offering companies a discount on their localization fee if the companies choose to localize the games the oprainfall community votes on and promotes. There may even be ways that certain individuals within the community could be elected to help with the localization process! . . .
“Today, we bring you the first of hopefully many articles based on this partnership. As you will see below, we have two polls—one for SEGA games, and one for Konami games. These companies were chosen because LAI has worked on localization projects with them in the past. In case you are not familiar with any of the games listed, we have also provided descriptions so you’ll know what they’re about. Be sure to use the comments section to let us know why you voted for the game or games you would like to see localized!”
I voted Valkyrie 3 Sega could have made that a big franchise instead they decided to sabotage themselves. Sabotaging themselves is SEGA's life story at this point.
I voted Yakuza 5. Hopefully everyone who voted shared this via their respective social media pages.
Vote for Yakuza 5. We already have a work in progress translation patch for Valkyria Chronicles 3
Alas, Konami don’t have any news for you Suikoden fans out there, but they’re listening, they say.
Does Konami even do anything besides Metal gear and Castlevania games these days? I remember Konami from the snes age and they made so many games and some of my all time favourites like TMNT. But if you ask me what they made this gen i wouldnt even know besides the 2 franchises i mentioned above.
I still w8 for Suikoden II on PSN one of my 3 all time favorite games ever, & still nothing after all those years & Konami doesn't do anything for US/EU Suiko-fans to let them experience this awesome/amazing game once again, shame on u Konami.
And also we dont have any info about the new Suikoden game on PSP & if they plan to release this out of JPN, I don't know what to say Konami is very disappointing this generation.
I would really love to at least see Suikoden II and III on psn. A new game on consoles would be absolutely ideal though.
This late in the console cycle means cheaper development so big rpg's will hopefully make a comeback if the demand is there. I am hoping for huge sales for Ni No Kuni to send a message to publishers.
suikoden VI here I come
the game looks so amazing
I love the Suikoden series and I really need to play catch up with the ones I missed out on(IV to V). The Suikoden series was so underrated back during the PS1-PS2 era. One of the many things I loved about this series was the battle system. In Suikoden I & II, when you lock all of your party's attack in, the enemies would be attacked by more than one party member at an almost simultaneous rate.
I dont like the anime art drawing style. But the graphics is nice.
