Nintendo Attempt to Burn Retinas with Mario Party 9 Boxart

oh my god, what the hell is going on there? I saw a bunch of colors and bright things. It took me awhile to actually see characters.

Maybe Nintendo is trying to get sales by out-flashing the other games on the shelf.

Wow, that does seem to be a bit MUCH. Upon looking at the image, my eyes couldn't stop scanning every inch of the box art. I can't look at it as a whole. D= Strange. Am I the only one getting this effect?

Yeah, it's got no focal point! Wario, Mario, Yoshi, and that Star are competing to be the center of attention, when Peach is in the ideal spot; Bowser and his crew are way the hell in the corner dividing attention further; and the title isn't prominent enough.

I think if they just dimmed the colors on everything but the Star and title, and made those two bigger, then it could be alright as is.

Totally agreed! It really takes a few seconds to actually notice the tittle.

I would say too much visual info, but thinking again, when we're talking Nintendo, specially Wii, stupidly colorful games is the first think that crosses my mind, so maybe that's their idea of identifiability.
