Angry Birds Coming To Consoles At The End Of February Via Retail

Who the f*ck will buy this? This is such a waist of money. The games are like under 100mb and are easily able to be digital games. Watch them be 60$ and never be on sale and a collectors addition that come with a carton of eggs for 100$ and people will buy it.

Edit: checked the app store, this game is 12mb. This game is so small it can be on WiiWare

As said the PC retail version has an RRP of around ten shiny pounds, so we can probably assume that the consoles versions would be around the same.

Yup, and now for some strange reason they're planning on releasing it as a retail title for PS3 as well. Or at least that seems to be what they're planning.

I assume it's supposed to be so non-online gamers can get their hands on it, but it's still strange :D

i've already got angry birds as a mini for my ps3 and psp, cost me 99p.

that was in a sale, but the full price was only like a couple of quid.

i just can't see anybody buying this as a full priced retail title.

the 3ds version will probably weigh in at 20-30 quid, when there are a dozen or so free versions if you've got an iphone/pod/pad

Well, the retail version is more likely being aimed at gamers while aren't online and thus can't download it, but that's a pretty niche market nowadays.

There might be a few Xbox 360 gamers who simply really want the game, though I can't imagine there'd be that many.

Angry birds on disc? Umm why it's not a big enough file size to justify putting it on a DVD Rom rather much a Blu ray.

There is no reason it needs to go to retail besides they probably think that people are bigger fans then they really are. It sold so well they probably think that they have die hard fans that will buy up anything Angry Birds, including a $15 dollar 3DS Game Card. But really, there is no reason it shouldn't be on Xbox Live, PSN, and Nintendo eShop instead of retail.
