Two New PlayStation 3 Exclusives Confirmed for Europe

Along with the revelation of Rising Star Games’ Q1 2012 line-up this morning, the UK based publisher has announced two new PlayStation 3 exclusive titles that will be available later this year.

That's why a lot of people hates playstation. Sony forces people to buy their games by having an inordinate amount of exclusive games. I can't wait for " the last guardian" and the ps vita. Imagine "the last guardian" on ps3 and the vita, gloriosity!

Last guardian is not on vita it's ps3 and Xbox don't even have a handheld device and same thing can be said about the Nintendo DS they just released super mario kart on the 3DS and where is it on the wii

Mario Kart is on Wii, and Microsoft's handheld is WP7- it's got full Xbox LIVE access on a mobile.

no one is forced to do anything if you like a game for something you own or something you dont you buy it. Personally i hate portable gaming i have an iphone 4 and like to listen to music on commutes But i do like console gaming and pc gaming so i buy games for that.

No the Xperia Play doesn't full access to PSN but you still login into the PSN store and download PSP and PSone games that play on the phone.

Great you can look at stats and friend lists on a wp7, but can you play games on the LIVE integration? No you can't. What the hell are you trying to get at exactly? We are talking about games here, not a gimmicky "integration" that doesn't allow you to play games. Im really curious and want a response. What are you trying to get at with the mention of the wp7 and LIVE? Please elaborate because im pretty sure your not making any sense in the context of this comment thread. I don't understand why people "hate" a particular piece of hardware... did it stab their mom or something? Maybe some devs have an excuse to "hate" a particular piece of hardware because the development environment won't allow them to do certain things, but they are probably the only ones with a decent excuse for "hating" a particular piece of hardware. As someone who enjoys computer gaming, I find it necessary to own all platforms. As a student of programming and development, I am interested in hardware and what it can do.

while i dont agree that a WP7 phone is microsofts handheld, i do have to point out that WP7 phones actually do have Xbox Live games. you earn achievements that go towards your overall achievement score etc. games like angry birds, doodle jump, solitaire, minesweeper, etc.

Actually 1 exclusive and 1 multiplatform game. Rune Factory is also on Wii.

@Pikejaw, No, it's two exclusives. While it is true that there are both a PS3 and Wii version of the game, the EU publisher was only able to get publishing rights to the PS3 version. Thus in that region the title will launch as an exclusive.

Actually, the headline is a bit misleading as far as "new" goes.

Rune Factory has been out in NA and Japan since October, and is simply now getting released in Europe. I used to be a fan of the series, but by most accounts Oceans/Tides of Destiny is one of the worst installments.

As far as hurting your wallet... Contrary to popular belief around here, not every exclusive is a must buy.

Yes, you can. I have nearly 100 Xbox LIVE games on my WP7 handset, including some that support cross-platform play with 360 and PC.

What they mean is a localised version in English. FYI a lot of games on 360 are region free, it's up to the publisher. I don't disagree that they should be removed though, just stating a fact.

I think hardly anyone will be interested in these. PS3 fanboys on N4G will be celebrating over this news but the truth is, when Way of the Samurai 3 went to X360, they all said they didn't care because it was likely to be a niche/poor title.

Also, these games have nothing to do with Sony. Microsoft are definitely falling behind though on the exclusives. A fair observation to say they are concentrating on next gen and relying on third party support for now. As both 360 and PS3 become the 'budget' consoles though, the Japanese devs are only ever going to support the PS3. The PS2 had a lot of great titles towards the end of it's lifespan from Japan and it will be nice to see the same happen again.

Way of the Samurai 3 was an awesome game... The only thing it was lacking was graphically, something that REALLY shouldn't matter to any true gamer out there.

So yes, I am very happy to hear bout WotS 4 coming out of Japan. Was there a mention of it coming to NA as well as Europe?

Same here, been waiting a year for news of localization for WOTS4, glad to see it's finally happening. The publisher is the same as the one for the EU release of WOTS3. Worst case scenario, Yanks will have to import, but it shouldn't be a huge problem, I think.

Nice to see more exclusives - it's the exclusives that have set the PS3 apart over the last couple of years, so whilst these games aren't going to be world beaters it's still a good sign.
