TMA: Over the last few years I have become a big fan of hidden object games, even finding myself a frequent shopper at the Big Fish Games web site. For all the games that fall in this category that I’ve played, however, I don’t think I’ve played one quite as diverse, frustrating and satisfying as Mystery Manor: Hidden Adventure.
On Friday morning, browser-based gaming innovator InstantAction announced the availability of its direct-to-consumer online video game distribution service that enables game publishers to embed premium video games anywhere on the Web, including blogs, and social media sites such as Facebook. The service debuts with LucasArts' The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, available now.
A recent update to Mystery Manor, a hidden object title for iPad, Android and Facebook, has left iPad users up in arms. The update in question removed and dramatically altered certain aspects of the game, leaving many feeling as though they're now forced to pay real money if they want to complete the game -- a scenario that was not at all present in the original version. It's a tangled situation, and many have taken to the game's Facebook page and unofficial forums to express their grievances. With the hopes of assuaging concerns and gaining a better understanding of the matter, Gamezebo spoke with Inga Shkurina, Marketing Manager and Community Lead of Game Insight's Moscow headquarters.
