Rumor: Star Wars Battlefront 3 on the cover of Gameinformers January Issue

Game Informer once again talks about Battlefront 3!

I still think Free Radical was a perfect dev for SWBF3. It was totally confirmed they were working on the game, footage was even released after they closed down and as I recall, that footage was confired authentic. What I don't understand is, why after Free Radical closed their doors.......it wasn't that long before the Dev Formerly Known as Free Radical was bought and absorbed by/into Crytek........why didn't the Dev Formerly Known as Free Radical get the game back? Wouldn't you think that the same dev team who already had the game started, now bolstered by Crytek would get even MORE confidence from Lucas Arts?

Oh, well. Fanboyism in media killed Free Radical. So that's over now, no sense dwelling. All I can say is.......At least it's not Pandemic. Alot of people seem to wish they were doing BF3, I do NOT want that. Pandemic hasn't evolved as a developer since last gen. We got a preview of what their BF3 would have been like.....Lord of the Rings Conquest. Their BF3 would basically be BF2 with higher resolution textures. I don't want that. The SWBF2 gameplay is perfect, it hardly has to be touched. I want new content, new eras (like Old Republic and New Jedi Order Eras, even better the Legacy Era), and incredible graphics. If it doesn't look as good as Gears 3 or Uncharted, I'm not going to be happy, though I will still buy lol. I REALLY don't believe at all that Pandemic is capable of that quality.

This dev is hot or miss. I did like LEGACY, that was a great shooter. It felt like a modern DOOM. It's multiple delays killed it though. If it released Fall 2008 like it was supposed to, or maybe even spring 09 like it moved to, it could have been OK and more people would have tried it and I think liked it. But that game in Fall 2009? It had no chance. If they really are working on SWBF3, it won't take very much footage for us fan to see if they are doing a good job or not.

if so please oh please dont try and compete with the other online shooters and make it like COD. Set it up exactly like the other battlefronts, its ok to add new modes but keep the old set up. I want this game so bad but i feel that if they make it they will ruin it and make it a clone of other mp games most likely COD.

EDIT: on a serious note, I loved the first two games. I find them to be incredibly enjoyable, if this were to be announced for next year, it would climb all the way to my most anticipated game of the year. Forget ME3 and Witcher 2. I want this, I was deeply disappointed when it went under and no more news came out about this.

SWBF3 could NEVER reach fan's expectations in this generation of gamers with major entitlement issues and gamers online who all feel their opinion is fact. So get that out of your head right now. It could NEVER meet expectations. I just hope that when this game finally gets made, that it's good and at least worth the wait.

But for reasons I state above.......I'm pleased Pandemic is gone, specifically because I didn't want there to even be a chance that they were going to eventually do BF3.

Online is great, but if it doesn't have offline split-screen, some people will die. Honestly the only reason these games are so great is because I could play them with my brother or a friend right there on the couch.

OMG there is hope for this game, star wars fans have been wainting year for this, if it turns out legit then there is only left to wait for a proper knighsts of the old republic 3(dont say old republic, please just dont). but i still think a battlefront collection would be great, add battlefront 1, 2, renegade squadron, and elite squadron would be the greatest packege ever.
