Is Trine 2 the best looking downloadable game ever?

There's no doubt that Atlus' Trine 2 is one hell of a beautiful looking game, but is it the best this year, or even the best looking downloadable console title of all time?

Side Scrolling games fixed Cameras means they only have to render things facing the camera, meaning the other side of the world can be completely empty, and that frees up a lot of system resources--that's why this game looks so good.

Agreed and good point. This game can't be compared to any open-world-ish game like Crysis imo.

Or it's just a gorgeous game and the technical aspects of it shouldn't make a difference. That's like hating Avatar for not using "Real" aliens instead of CGI.

It's great art direction and they give the back grounds tons of life and depth. Best use of environemt and art in a 2.5D games since Oddworld on PS One if you ask me.

Nope because i downloaded The Witcher 2! Trine 2 does look good though for an 360/PS3 Arcade Title or whatever network it's on.

Actually 95% of my games are downloaded via Steam so I don't know h.......wait a minute i guess this is some kind of console website.

Compare yes, but rarely attempt to definitively state that one is better than the other as there is tacit understanding that taste is paramount to enjoyment of any particular example of entertainment meaning no one example can be deemed the "best".

i really liked the first, but there was only 2 or 3 different enemies. hope they will change that.

Nope, that's WipEout HD from back in 2008. Try to reach Zone-mode at Super Zen speed & beyond, in 3D. Install-->say WOW every millisecond:)

I bought it when it was released.great game.
There was a problem,I had no tv,and was playing on a sanyo z4 projector,with a 100" panel.it was too fast,and in the dark,my head and eyes were going nut every millisecond :)
Excellent game,need to play again,on a tv,this time.
