MonkeyPaw Games Inc. today announced that classic import title Arcade Hits: Magical Drop is now available for sale in the section on the European PlayStation Network. The release marks the first time that European gamers will get the chance to play the addicting puzzler in its pure, un-touched form. Arcade Hits: Magical Drop is the original entry in the popular puzzle series and a fantastic import title for puzzler aficionados.

There's the potential for a great competitive puzzler here, but the missing features, along with the iffy odds of actually connecting to an online game without something getting mucked up, make Magical Drop 5 impossible to recommend. If you're patient, I think odds are good that you'll be rewarded, but it's downright shameful that a fundamentally good product was released in such a shoddy state."
Magical Drop V is the latest in a sprawling line of me-too puzzlers that have jumped on the bandwagon over the years. Strangely enough, it's an actual attempt at revival that seems to have come out of nowhere. Magical Drop made quite the splash back in the 90s with its debut on the Neo Geo, and for the better part of that decade made a name for itself as one of the greatest puzzle games you could get your hands on.
One of my favorite games of all time. Magical Drop III, specifically.
