Very good article for new buyers off Steam. Only buy Daily Deals stuff during sale. On last day of sale, if the game you want hasn't appeared on Daily Deal, then you buy it for whatever the sale price is. For instance, was gifted Half-Life 2 yesterday, considered buying Ep 1 & 2, price was $4.99 each one. Today, Half-Life 2 is Daily Deal, and they each cost $1.99. So wait to buy what you want until last day in case it appears on Daily Deal so you don't get shafted.
