Remedy currently helping Rockstar test Max Payne 3

GamesRadar: "We recently had a chance to not only play developer Remedy's next title, Alan Wake's American Nightmare, we also interviewed one of the developers about the XBLA-exclusive. You’ll see the whole thing soon, but towards the end we asked Remedy producer Matthias Myllyrinne about reports from Rockstar that Remedy had been involved somehow in the making of Max Payne 3, which made sense as Remedy created the first two Payne titles with Rockstar. When asked how Remedy was involved in the franchise they created, we found out they've been play testing the game somewhat recently."

I know, least they would make a true looking Max Payne game. I'm not saying it looks crap, it looks amazing...if it was a new IP fair enough but this is Max Payne

I mean people keep saying "it's Rockstar have faith"....yeah it is but this time it's differen't since this game isn't their franchise, they didn't created the structure, gameplay, setting, story of the last two games. With the success of GTA, Bully, Red Dead for example those were Rockstar games they knew what they were doing because they created them but this......just dosen't look like they have stayed true and loyal to what Remedy did when they created Max Payne and MP2.

Anyway not like Remedy can do anything now, all they can do is put on a fake smile and nod their head if they don't really like it. Having articles like these are just to try to calm peoples fears but the thing is they would of made sure to do this with the very first teaser trailer of MP3 but they didn't...they didn't adresses one problem. They just made it look like a Die Hard Video Game.

Sometimes I think Rockstar have become so arrogant that they think "Don't worry guys, you know how popular we are now...we can do anything we want and people will fall into the hype, look at GTA4"

I agree big time. I am late to the Max Payne party, but the games have grown on me and this cycle of games'generation has shown me that even iconic franchises can change and not for the better.

even if it is Rockstar, it still doesn't feel right. @ future disagrees, I challenge you to state otherwise. Fun game? OK. Good looking game? OK. Max Payne in it's pure form? Don't kid yourself.
