From the PlanetXbox360.com feature article:
"Every year, a handful of titles are released that just don’t meet the standards of the players. This isn’t about the licensed super-hero games based on the movies, like Captain America or Green Lantern. While these licensed titles are stinkers, the gaming community expects them to be. When it comes to the most disappointing games of 2011, hyped up games with potential need to be taken into account. The following five games could have been great if they lived up to their promise, but unfortunately these titles have all fallen short of expectations - do you agree or disagree, let us know in the comments what your biggest Xbox 360 failures of 2011 were."
We might be in the age of remasters, but it doesn't look like the Dead Island 2 devs believe remaking the original game is the right move for the series.
but remakes require far less effort for these companies and they can still charge $70 for them!
Feel like everyone makes fun of Skyrim re-releasing like 18 times yet applaud these remasters elsewhere. Would much prefer NEW games
Making sequels really is the way to go. Otherwise we'll be stuck playing only the first entry, forever!!!
Duke Nukem Forever originally began its life as a sidescroller instead of a shooter back in 1996, and that canceled version has just been leaked.
Very cool, but i don't know how real this is... I'll check it out later to find out.
Duke Nukem Forever, the troubled FPS from Gearbox and 3D Realms, has been restored to more traditional 90s shooter thanks to a sweeping “remaster” mod
kinda of a misleading title.
Mod features:
Sprinting removed and faster player movement
Jump height increased
Swim speed is much faster
Player can now hold breath underwater for 45 seconds instead of 15
Weapon rebalance and screen shake when shooting removed
2/4 weapon limit completelly removed
Quicksaves (F5 by default)
Depth of Field removed and new post processing effects
Driving sections are now in first person perspective
yw.
Agree with most of them, not too bad of a year =)
Duke Nukem easily!
The Last Templar.
I thought only the PC version of Dead Island had issues, did the console version have the same issues?
