Over a MILLION!! 3DS sold last week!! :O

Sony really messed up by giving away xmas to nintendo

tiffac0084524d ago

I believe its already been explained that the devastating earthquake that hit Japan a few months back caused a lot of manufacturing disruption for Sony (with a couple of their factories closing down and needing some repairs) thus Sony is unable to meet the demand of a worldwide release in time for the holidays.

That being said its good to see the 3DS making all those so-called analyst eat their words. Never underestimate the Big N.

GraveLord4524d ago

Sony isn't stupid. They're not going to launch the Vita when they don't have enough units. Sony did the right thing by delaying the Western launch till February.

Megaman_nerd4524d ago

I wonder if we'll ever see a Monster Hunter game on the Vita. Monster Hunter was the sole reason the PsP wasn't a complete failure in Japan if you ask me.

MasterCornholio4524d ago

As Sony said
"Why don you go ask Capcom?

Nintendo probably paid for it to be exclusive on the 3DS because I see no reason why Capcom won't bring it to the Vita based.

woah dude you sound a little mad.

ShaunCameron4524d ago

But Nintendo had nothing to do with Monster Hunter Tri being a Wii exclusive. That was Capcom's decision based on the PS3 being too costly .

MasterCornholio4524d ago

Great sales all around. I can't wait to see how well the Vita does this holiday season. Analyst predict that Sony's Vita can sell 1 million during this month. It should be interesting to see if that will be true.

It's great to see such diversity in the sales charts for once. Also, the 3DS has sold more than I expected. I was under the impression that it was in the 8-9 million range. I still won't be buying one until the imminent revision drops, though.

Next week should be interesting with the first sales numbers of the Vita. I want to see it do well, as it's seems like a more complete piece of tech than most of the stuff out there.

well i be getting 3ds not cuz only cuz of nintendo games but also monster hunter. that another reason why my friend be getting it also cuz of resident evil too. but it be interesting to see.

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast30d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22930d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko30d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave30d ago (Edited 30d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
