Uncharted Play Arts Kai Nathan Drake Figure Coming to Europe

Originally unveiled back in July of this year, Electronic Theatre has finally received confirmation of a European release for the Uncharted 3 Play Arts Kai Nathan Drake Figure. Designed by Mezco Toyz, the 6-inch figure of Nathan Drake based on the iconic cover image from Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

it wouldn't make sense to get this if you got the Collectors Edition.

Actually i thought it was going to be a regular figure and not an action figure.

Action figures suck.

r214526d ago

the thing looks a bit rough. now, to await an awesome stop motion video involving drake. possible drake vs altair :D
also, how did this article heat up 370 degrees? i thought it was based on comments and such :L

Sgt_Slaughter4525d ago

It's because it's Uncharted... anything related to it gets instant heat.

Crazyglues4525d ago (Edited 4525d ago )

@ r21

no it's based off of hits... so even if a story has only a few comments, it can still get a high degree..

As this story has...

.____........___...____
.____||......||.......____||
||.........___||.......____||

r214525d ago

ah that makes sense, thanks for that :D

LightSamus4525d ago

I prefer figures that are more ornamental and unposable. The joints just make it look like a cheap toy.

I was really hoping this would have made it into one of the collections. Like how they did with the GoW PSP games.

VenomUK812d ago

I recall just playing the start on PS Vita but not much more and many Uncharted fans wouldn't have played it either so this 'unknown' chapter could be ripe for an expanded version for PS5.

TiredGamer812d ago

Agreed here. Played it back on the Vita years ago, but never finished. The cramped Vita controls and the tiny analog sticks just didn't gel with me in a game where precise headshots are half the fun. It's the first Uncharted game that I haven't completed/Platinumed, and I think much of it is control related. Really wish it was PS TV compatible (natively).

I would definitely buy it if it were released as a PS4/PS5 version.

YoungKingDoran812d ago

If you ever play it again on Vita definitely turn on the gyro aiming assist, made it alot more fun to play and i ended up getting all the headshot trophies thanks to this- super accurate

TheEnigma313812d ago

I loved this game. It was like an extension of the first one. Why haven't we gotten an HD release yet?

TiredGamer812d ago (Edited 812d ago )

Lack of available dev resources and lack of a lucrative ROI probably. I think Sony has an opportunity to sell it as a separate, standalone HD remaster for like $20. Otherwise, the effort to convert a PS Vita game to the PS4/5 won't be worth their while. Unfortunate, but that's probably the only way it'd make financial sense.

deleted812d ago (Edited 812d ago )

Some of the puzzles/interactivity would have to be completely reworked. I remember having to hold the camera to a bright light. (I remember being annoyed at that part bc I was playing in bed late night while my wife was asleep next to me. Ran to the kitchen at like 3am just to get past it lol)

Also the swipe battles. I absolutely couldn't stand the final boss because the swiping felt so inaccurate and it would constantly misread gestures.

I adored the rest of the game though, and even the story! It couldn't simply just be rereleased, it needs reworking for consoles. (same reason it didn't get PS Vita TV support) The rubbing parts could still work w Dualsense/DS4 though.

I'd gladly welcome it and do hope it happens eventually!

Muigi812d ago

Glad I still have my Oled Vita.

MadLad812d ago

Sony should have tried harder to support the Vita. It ended up just a solid emulation machine that happens to have a handful of classics.

Bigman4k812d ago (Edited 812d ago )

Yeah Sony gave up on the ps vita way too fast

Bigman4k812d ago (Edited 812d ago )

I really like Uncharted:Golden Abyss on ps vita it would be dope if they remaster it for PlayStation 5

Analyzing 'Uncharted: Drake’s Deception' – Wait, What is The Game About?

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has a lot to live up to as Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is an incredible and near-perfect game.

It's about retirement...oh wait

UNCHARTED2FANATIC917d ago (Edited 917d ago )

I cant even say what the point was its easily the worst story in the series. The online was a whole lot of fun though but overall doesn't come even close to 2

porkChop917d ago (Edited 917d ago )

It was a step back for sure. Personally, I thought even the MP was way better in U2. Solid game, glad I played it. I just think they didn't push as hard as they did with U2.

UNCHARTED2FANATIC912d ago

Yes both the online and story was better in 2 no doubt

Flewid638916d ago

The "young Drake" portion was pretty top notch, story-wise. But yeah, everything outside of that I felt was inferior.

DanielEndurance917d ago

Villains were all over the place in this… one second they wanted Drake dead, the next they needed him, then they want him dead again, then they coulda killed him, but poisoned his friend instead, then coulda shot him again, but had brunch with him, then needed him alive, then coulda mowed him down, but decided to kill him by fire and let him escape… Uncharted 2 was way better. 😅😅

slowgamer917d ago

=D Sounds crazy. I don't remember any of that. Played it on ps3 and I remember thinking that why was this game so bashed compared to second one. I liked it.

Chocoburger916d ago (Edited 916d ago )

Another thing that annoyed me about UC3 events was the agent Talbot teleporting around Turkey. It just felt off to me, and made no sense.

Also, for about one third of the game, you go on a wild goose chase to rescue Sully, who wasn't even there to be rescued, and you end up back where you started again. There was simply no pay off for all the events you go through, so it fell flat in that regard as if they couldn't figure out how to make the game longer, so they decided to side-track you to do something with no pay off, hoping you wouldn't notice due to all the incredible action set pieces they made.

Overall though, even with its flaws, I still enjoy the game.

TheEnigma313916d ago

This was actually my least favorite in the series. Didn't have that same impact that part 2 set.

Flewid638916d ago

Uncharted 2 is the pinnacle of the series (to me).

Granted, 4 had the best story in my opinion, but 2 was the overall best game.
