Kinect Star Wars rated by the ESRB. Details "suggestive" dance tournaments

TheGamingliberty.com:

"The ESRB have issused their rating summary for Kinect Star Wars for Xbox 360. The game has been granted a “T” rating due to it’s mild suggestive themes, mild language and displays of violence.

If you dig a little deeper and actually read the whole summary breakdown, you can actually learn a couple of additional nuggets of information about the final game. For example, apart from Jedi light saber brawling and pod-racing, we can also take part in a series of dance tournaments where female characters perform suggestive movements while wearing revealing items of clothing."

hell yea well done.

GribbleGrunger4531d ago

i guess it's because everyone knows how dance and Star Wars were meant for each other. are you honestly telling me you can't see what MS are doing here? this is what a you call prostituting a franchise.

El_Barto4531d ago

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this game is going to surprise a lot of people. I think it's going to sell pretty well and it'll get average to above average reviews.

I've had mine pre-ordered for a while now, who wouldn't want to be a Jedi?

I doubt I'll be dancing though...lol

"I'm going to go out on a limb and say this game is going to surprise a lot of people. I think it's going to sell pretty well and it'll get average to above average reviews."

Kinect Sports: Season 2- 840k
Kinectimals: Now with Bears- 70k
Dance Central 2- 800k
Rise of Nightmares- 200k
The Gunstringer- 200k
Disneyland Kinect- 310k
Sesame Street- 170k
Michael Phelps: Push the limit- 20k
Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012- 110k
The Biggest Loser: Ultimate Workout- 360k
Blackwater- 40k
Hulk Hogan's Main Event- 40k

What on God's green Earth makes you think Star Wars will "sell pretty well"? The Kinect novelty, hype, and $500 million campaign budget has worn off pretty quickly. To "sell pretty well k's have to be replaced with M's as in millions.

P.S. I don't care for motion controls including MOVE so if you'll be wasting your time if you think shots at MOVE will bother me.

"What on God's green Earth makes you think Star Wars will 'sell pretty well'?"

Serious question?

TheFirstClassic4531d ago

Star wars IS star wars... It might sell pretty well.

El_Barto4531d ago

Not sure where you get your numbers, but I hope it's not VGChartz....lol

Anyway, Star Wars Kinect is in the top 10 in pre-orders, I think it has around 300/400k in those already. Not to mention it's getting it's own bundle and Xbox 360 console.

ZippyZapper4531d ago

@StrongMan try harder and next time don't edit the actual numbers.

So you've been tearing into The Last of Us and other Sony games over this site, yet you're looking forward to this atrocity?

LOL! Just lol!

El_Barto4531d ago

I've not once said The Last Of Us would be a bad game, I said it's been done and it was a genre that was stale.

I stick by that, I don't see why the game has people proclaiming it to be GOTY already.

I personally like motion controls and Kinect, but I also have a Move and Wii. I am not expecting a GOTY experience from Star Wars, but I expect some fun, which is what gaming is all about, no?

Anytime someone doesn't kiss Sony butt they get attacked, everyone here thinks if you own a PS3 you must be 100% happy with it and every Sony game/product on the market, no?

Also, I'd like to point out that a lot of my posts were intended as jokes, not the Last Of Us ones, but some of the other ones, but apparently people here can only joke about Xbox 360 and Nintendo products.

Kinect Star Wars (2012): A Journey Through the Galaxy with Motion Controls

One of the worst things to happen to Star Wars was it being exclusive to Kinect when PS Move could have been a better version because of "buttons" per Kevin with better tracking. And the controller looking like a light saber hilt. Or, had an actual light saber game similar to the dojo in Vader Immortal.

But the miming lies on the Microsoft E3 stage was icing on the cake of this garage. Wasn't even live gameplay. Just bad acting. Nothing ground breaking about this travesty.

Star Wars is Best Suited for AA Gaming, Not AAA

WTMG's Leo Faria: "This piece wasn’t meant to say that Star Wars‘ gaming future is ruined forever, nor that there isn’t a chance for a good AAA Star Wars game to come out in the near future. I need to reiterate that, yes, I’m looking forward to Jedi Fallen Order. Then again, as a massive Star Wars fan, like most of you I miss the days when we would get loads of titles a year, each one focused on one specific feature of the franchise. I’d rather have a slew of smaller Star Wars games being released every year, some good and some not as good, than one big generic title being released every two years. These are always at the risk of being criticized due to typical AAA practices like expensive season passes, cut content, or microtransactions. Had Disney allowed for anyone, especially mid-range developers and publishers, to bring their creative and risk-free ideas to life, I’m sure fans would have rejoiced. And Disney’s pockets would most certainly fill up faster than nowadays."

The Wiseau Awards - Kinect Star Wars (Xbox 360)

WTMG's Leo Faria: "Kinect Star Wars gave me the opportunity to witness Darth Vader and the Emperor dancing to Deadmau5's "Ghosts n' Stuff" like a couple of teenage ravers on ecstasy. That's the best thing I never thought I'd ever see in my life."
