Pocket Gamer - Fans of the various iterations of Generations of Chaos (from PS2 to PSP, and now Android) will say it’s the sort of game “where you get as much out of it as you put in”.
A successor to the flawed conversion of Spectral Souls, HyperDevbox’s strategy-RPG keeps that game’s premium (just under a tenner) price and promises a daunting 100-hours of isometric tactical gameplay.
"PSP owners are spoilt for choice when it comes to excellent Japanese RPGs, especially with reissues of such classics as Persona 2 and the incredible Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together. Unfortunately Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos doesn’t quite join those ranks, despite its efforts to inject some originality into the genre. Its developers Nippon Ichi Software (NIS) are well known for turning out hardcore and solidly made entries into the genre, perhaps most notably their Disgaea series, and Aedis Eclipse, with its kitsch manga aesthetics and crazy cast of characters, similarly shows scant regard for western sensibilities. In short it’s precisely what any fan of the company’s output is looking for."
PushSquare: "Laboured pacing and unintuitive interfaces will limit the appeal of Aedis Eclipse: Generation Of Chaos to a very slim niche of patient players."
Lots of big RPG releases coming in January for consoles, PC, and handhelds alike. Russ breaks it down.
Ds is getting some serious rpgs next month. Sweet. Glory of heracles sounds sweet as hell. Now I wonder when nintendo will finally show a release date for Modono. That title really looked cool.
Man, is there any kind of suspension/ban system or IP tracking or capcha device that can slow these spammers down, if not stop them entirely?
