Why I'm Cancelling my SWTOR pre-order

2winfinite: So I'm a little late in the game in the “SWTOR Beta impressions” story, but I still wanted to talk about my experience with the game. I’ve played the beta nonstop for a weekend, and I have had mixed feelings.

He's using a Macbook Pro that's even worst, plus hes speaking about the beta, my friend was on the beta and he was laggin with 2 460GTX in sli now hes on the early access and he has 0 lag, i played yesterday with his account and TBH the game is awesome 0 lag the graphics aren't that bad at all the gameplay feel fluid and it feel like an single player RPG which is good, i really don't know what this guy was talking about.

Dude the main negative reason you have is that its similar to the most Popular Mmo on the market....

No developer is gonna stray from that as its the template for every great MMO lol... If it was majorly different from a game such as WoW many people would be put off as the risk of purchasing would be greater... Simlar however people know what they will be getting and so will be more willing to splash £30 or w.e on the game.

He hasnt played that many MMOs there's a lot of them and im pretty sure WoW wasnt the first to implement some of the things it has. It was just more popular.

It's interesting that you say that the game is similar so that people would know what they are getting, and be more likely to jump in, because this author clearly had no idea what they were getting. From the get go (at least to my knowledge) they said that their aim was to bring story to the MMO. How the hell that guy read that and expected it to be a revolutionary leap forward and re-writing of the rules, so to speak, I have no idea.

As far as I'm concerned, the game does what they set out to do with it, and it does it spectacularly.

I can try to imitate one tho. Here's a sample prescription:

1 Gaming Pc, try other MMOs, be objective in journalism.

OK, there are so many things wrong with this review

#1: They only played over the Beta weekend which means they only got to level 13 or so.
#2: They didn't go into PvP.
#3: They didn't go into a flashpoint. Which, with friends, is pretty fun when you get to share dialog with the NPCS.
#4: They played on a Mac.
#5: The brushed off the companion aspect of the game. You need to talk and show "affection" to boost moral. You eventually get a full crew of your own to do tasks.

Yes, the game is a bit similar to WoW, but what MMO isn't?

He says he gone into a flashpoint but he bashes the game because the party he was in was joking and around and having a laugh and this deimmersed him from the story :L.. what a joke :P
