This Saturday night (12.10.11) Spike TV will host their 9th annual Video Game Awards recognizing the best of console, PC, and mobile gaming in 2011. The event is being hosted by Zachary Levi (Chuck from the show Chuck) and will include categories such as Game of the Year, Studio of the Year, the viewer voted most anticipated game of 2012, and trailer of the year. Along with the awards, the VGAs will honor The Legend of Zelda series with the first ever Video Game Hall of Fame Award. All that said, here are Suddenbrain’s self-proclaimed expert predictions for a handful of the categories as well as a short list of games that got shafted by not being nominated:

Interview with Stephen Russell, Actor for (Nick Valentine, Codsworth, My Handy) in Fallout 4 which is a vast open world role playing game set in the apocalyptic wastes of Boston, the Commonwealth. The career goes further with other Bethesda games from Starfield to Prey to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
GOTY should be Uncharted 3. Don't know how a game as buggy and glitchy as Skyrim can win GOTY. People ignore all of these bugs and glitches because "it has 200 hours of gameplay!"
Other games get criticized for doing "nothing new" or "too similar to the last game" yet Portal 2 gets praised as "innovative" and "groundbreaking" when it's just shooting holes in walls just like the last Portal game.
Skyward Sword gets the same pass when every Zelda game is similar. You get the boomerang in dungeon 1, the slingshot in dungeon 2, bombs in dungeon 3, stronger sword in dungeon 4, boots to walk underwater in dungeon 5, the hookshot thing in dungeon 6, the magnetic boots in dungeon 7, the gloves to lift big Goron rocks in dungeon 8, and well, you get the picture but other games get slammed for doing the same thing.
My pick from their list ia Uncharted 3 but my personal pick is Catherine and the runner ups would be Uncharted 3, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, L.A. Noire, Dragon Age II / Portal 2 (Tied)
I hope people pelt Bethesda with skyrim ps3 Xbox discs on stage.
