Now more than ever, there is a severe lack of fantasy games in development. What used to be an entire sub-genre has now been whittled down to a couple specific games.

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.
RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

I would actaully expect with the masive sales numbers that skyrim has put up that we could see a resurgence of the fantasy games. I mean come on its the most played game on live this month. Second most sold to MW3 that is really saying something.
Well... we've probably got some Phoenix Downs around here somewhere...
