Trendy Gamers: I could attempt to be kind to this game, but that would be disingenuous of me. If I’m going to be honest with you dear reader, this game sucks. The battle system is repetitive and boring, the graphics are dull and uninteresting, the characters are typical and bland, the music is a never changing loop and worst of all the story is unengaging and poorly written. Shall we dive right into it? Let’s.
Take a look at some PS1 game prices that have really taken off over the past 2 years. Some are trending much higher, but a few have dipped recently and it might be your last shot to get them into your collection affordably.
Hey Poor Player's Greg Peterson went on a deep dungeon-dive for ten original PlayStation RPGs you need to play before you die.
Wow, what a great list. I remember playing all these games. Wish I would have held onto them. Vandal Hearts needs to be on this list too.
Seems like a good list. Don't think I have heard of all of them. Do not have a super huge rpg history though as a gamer.
Oprainfall's look into the past continues with the PS1 strategy RPG, Vanguard Bandits.
Oprainfall writes: "Vanguard Bandits is a pretty good strategy game. There is nothing really that sets it apart from other games in the genre, but it’s story is interesting enough that you will want to play the three paths just see how they all come out. The combat is balanced well and each map will present new challenges for the player to overcome. Some battles seem impossible at first but, with some fine tuning to your tactics, there will always be a way to come out on top."
This guy definitely didn't play too far into the game if he thinks it gets repetitive.
It should definitely get higher than a 4, thats for sure
I love this game still own it.
