Kotaku - Today is the 10th anniversary of the release of Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy on PlayStation 2. Naughty Dog, the game's studio, took a look back at the game's decade of service and wants to be sure it's remembered for its technical merit, too.
"With each outing in the Jak and Daxter series, we set out to create a game that offered the player a new experience that built on the previous game," writes Evan Wells, the co-president of Naughty Dog. He means in ways more than just the story of the previous game. "As you go from Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy to Jak 3, the story will connect across the titles as the gameplay and technical aspects of the games and the tools used to create them evolved."
The WellPlayed team has come together to share which video games they’d like to see turned into a TV show.
The PS2 birthed various notable PlayStation mascots, but Ratchet and Clank appear to be the only ones that made it on every later console generation.
We needed remakes of Jak and Daxter more than pumping out an unnecessary "remake" of Last of Us.
Then again, we're hilariously now getting a "remake" of Horizon Zero Dawn, so Sony is already outdoing themselves.
Nahh we don’t need these kind’s of games we need more walking slimulators like Naughty Dog games and remakes of games that aren’t even 10 years old because they make money right Sony. The fact that R&C is still around AND still good is a goddamn miracle that i’m very grateful for.
the last R+C (rift apart) was definitely way better than I wanted to give it credit for before playing. still one of the best, most impressive ps5 games imo.
Even though it's been 13 years since the last brand-new Jak and Daxter game, several factors have allowed Naughty Dog's franchise to survive.
I know naughty dog has no interest in this, but man I love to see this series return, or at the very least get blue point onto remaking the original 3 games please!!!
