Ghillied up was pretty fantastic, though I vaguely recall being somewhat annoyed by the escape part of that mission. Can't recall why though.

Hunter Killer was pretty good in the new one, but I was more a fan of either the mission where the sandstorm hits or the first part of the final mission. The former has a sandstorm ripping an unfinished building apart while you're fighting, followed by moving through the sandstorm taking out dudes. The latter made me feel like a friggin' Space Marine had stepped into the CoD universe, which was great fun. I like the feeling of invincibility the game would give me at times.

Most of the series best moments are in the first Modern Warfare.

1. Ghillie suits in Pripyat (MW1)
2. Russian Airforce One (MW3)
3. Black hawk down rescue & nuke explosion (MW1)
4. Chase on the rooftop of Sau Paulo favelas (MW2)
5. Crossing of the River Volga (Call of Duty 1)

Honourable mention:
Assassination of Fidel Castro (Black Ops)
SAS night-time assault on the freight ship (MW1)
Escape from the Gulag (Black Ops)

Good choices overall. I'd remove one of those and replace it with Pointe-de-Hoc D-Day scene from Call of Duty 2.

What about 'No Russian'?

Mostly for the ending. Didn't see that coming.

Xenial4545d ago

Mayeb your thinking of the escape part where you have to protect Cap. Mactavish from the russians until the heli comes and pick you up. - I remeber hating that part a lot because i died so much.

Sanetoshi4545d ago

Yeah, I think that was it. In general, I am just no good at protecting people in games.

All Ghillied Up was one of the best single player levels I've ever played in my life...

BraveToaster4546d ago

Nothing from Call of Duty 1 or 2...

Snowmobile level in MW2 was AMAZING. Love it when a game makes you feel that badass lol.

ambientFLIER4546d ago

Incidentally, that was the first moment that absolutely ruined the MW2 campaign for me and made it feel like a cheap action movie. Driving a snowmobile at full speed, jumping over cliffs and shooting one handed like a gangster...

Lol well I've never really taken CoD games seriously so I never expect them to be very realistic. I play them for pure fun.

MW 2019 is five years old at this point and on previous gen hardware, but it is still the best looking Call of Duty game to date.

MW was an excellent videogame. They messed up Spec Ops big time, but aside from this it was a huge step in the right direction initially. Most notably, at launch it seemed to come from a very cohesive creative vision that was felt across gameplay, to story to art style/visual direction. It was also very notably written by prominent ex-Naughty Dog guys that quit almost immediately before release.

That COMPLETELY dissolved through post-launch content and the full pivot to a "cross-mode" narrative that completely obliterated the cohesion in overall story direction. Warzone then "became" the new face of Call of Duty and the franchise completely removed itself from anything remotely creatively "good". It is a pure money machine, so I kinda get why they're doing it....but I personally completely lost interest.

I would love to see Infinity Ward move off CoD and get to make their own product with full control. They clearly have some massive talent in their ranks but it's perverted by Activision's corporate interests.

Call of Duty Players Disappointed by $80 B.E.A.S.T. Glove Bundle Deal

Recently, players of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone were met with a new bundle featuring the B.E.A.S.T. Glove, inspired by King Kong's armament in the Godzilla x Kong movie. However, the $80 price tag attached to this themed accessory left many Call of Duty fans feeling underwhelmed.

Morons that allow themselves to be milked continuously by this company is the definition of irony.
Spend more $$ and you'll end up In easier lobbies so you win both ways when ya spend that cash

Controversy in the COD community feels like it happens within an alternate timeline. Activision will take the piss with something, there will be a momentary fuss about it, and then they will forget about it and carry on anyway. Repeat this cycle literally every year for the rest of time.

They call that a crack head! Thats what this is really about, its an addiction. People who dont smoke cigarettes look and laugh at the addicts that spend $8-$10 a pack, but they cant help themselves, they are addicted. That same analogy applies perfectly to the whole MT industry. Only an addict that was not thinking clearly would spend this kind of money on something so frivolous. A round of multiplayer provides the same high a person gets from scratching a lotto ticket, or putting money on a sports bet. MT in general need to really be regulated because you have a generation of kids becoming adults who grew up only knowing the MT era of gaming. Its normal to them and they will in turn teach their kids the same by just being a gaming parent and getting their kids involved with them in gaming. Thats why no matter how ridiculous the headlines keep getting out of the MT industry, it never seems to fade or go away.

I'm so tired of hearing about what they're doing with this game, its never going to change and it's never going to value the consumer over money, furthermore the people who engage so heavily in the microtransactions I guess allegedly are having a blast and can't wait to do it some more this year when the new version of the game drops.
