RoboPlay: Star Wars: The Old Republic PvP Sample

Questing and exploring can be fun, and in SWTOR they certainly are, but sometimes a man just has to beat another dude’s face in. That’s right, PvP, and SWTOR has it. I was only able to do the warzones, so no open world PvP yet, but the Warzones are interesting enough to be just as fun. Watch as I fight in the Battle for Alderaan with my Imperial Agent. I even try something different and attempt to heal. I felt I did an OK job considering I only had one healing ability. Most of the time I forget about healing and just charge in blasting. Watch the video below to get a taste of what one of the Warzones is like.

The combat in this game is way better than any other MMO I've ever played.

Sidology4546d ago

You know, the PVP combat actually looks pretty good. I maaaaaaaay have to try it.

Man the PVP and combat looks TERRIBLE. I want to like this game because Bioware is cool and all, but after playing Age of Conan, the combat just looks old and clunky. Guild Wars 2 is the only MMO that can do it for me it looks like.

I was going to get this but when they include unnecessary offensive material in the game then I will have to pass. I play MMOs to have fun and freedom not to be insulted and heckled.

RoboSpiff4546d ago

what? what do you mean, offensive material?

Is this that game with the laser swords?

Star Wars: The Old Republic Still Receiving Updates 11 Years Into Release

I loved this game and have played since launch but don't let this article fool you, this game is a step above life support. While they are still technically updating the game, the updates are few and far between and there is a significant lack of quality control, so many little bugs that have been present for years.

The updates felt flimsy to me also. Stopped playing in 2021.

This game got a huge update last year didn't it with more content?

PapaBop409d ago

They promoted it as an expansion yet offered like 3-4 hours of content. The game is amazing and easily one of the best Star Wars games ever made but content drops are so few and far between.
