IGN: The cross-over rivalry that no one ever thought would happen is happening for a fourth time. They first met up and competed against one another in 2007's Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. After that they fought it out on the battlefields of 2008's Super Smash Bros. Brawl, then hit the slopes for 2009's Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. Now Nintendo and Sega's heaviest hitters are once again going head-to-head on Wii -- and this cross-over's feeling a little weary.
Due to a public Holiday in various countries, Nintendo Download details have taken longer than normal to come through. It's mostly about the Wii U and 3DS this week, with retro and new delights to enjoy, while the Wii Virtual Console steps in with some Neo Geo action.
SuperPhillip Central writes, "The start of the workweek can only mean one thing-- Moonshine Monday! Wait. No. It's actually time for SPC's Favorite VGMs, your go-to source for... SuperPhillip Central's... favorite VGMs. Ahem. On this week's installment we've got music from Batman: Arkham City, Final Fantasy VIII, and Ys I & II Chronicles."
SuperPhillip Central writes, "Over the past several weeks we have looked into and analyzed many Wii games. This fourth week of the best the Wii has to offer (in this writer's opinion, of course) enters into several well known franchises and lesser known franchises. The Wii is an often mocked console, called kiddy, casual, or whatever insult-of-the-day is considered cool by a vocal minority of gamers. This list of fifty terrific Wii titles is meant to show the console's library as quite competent and worthwhile. No, you won't just be seeing Mario and Zelda games on this list. The library is much more exhaustive than that as this list of fifty has proven. We now roll on to part four of The 50 Best Nintendo Wii Games. Which games have you played and enjoyed?"
