OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

My bank account is crying because it's being leaked dry by such deals ;P

EDIT: Wait. All of the comments so far all were given 1 disagree? Wow. Somebody's a little jealous

Portal 2 10usd yum yum.
Duke nukem might be a crappy game but still at 6.79usd it might be worth giving a chance.

Test drive 2 at 5usd looks good.

But but PC gaming is expensive /s

saladthieves4552d ago (Edited 4552d ago )

I have the money. My hard drive is ready.

One thing Steam is very good at is making me HAVE to buy something during their crazy sale periods. For example:

You could get RF: Armageddon for $19.99. Awesome...but then for $49.99, you could also get RF: Armageddon + 12 other THQ games...Including Homefront, Metro 2033 etc...how can I resist such a deal????? XD

For example both Mass Effect 1 and 2 are on sale for $10 ($4.99 Each!)...I recently sold my Xbox 360 along with a ME 2 copy, and I've also always wanted to play ME 2 as a female character and on a computer as well, so this gives me an awesome opportunity!

Also, this is one of the reasons as to why Origin is nothing in the face of Steam.

YAY sales.

The MoW is looking at me, so is DNF. Damn you gabe, CURSE YOU §

saladthieves4552d ago

I know!...it's HARD not to buy a bundle that has like 12 games, 9 of which you've always wanted to play, all costing like $40. It's really hard to resist their deals...I honestly don't know how many games I would have bought at the end of this holiday season from Steam!

Welp, it was nice knowing you, wallet.

Steam > PSN/XBL

Theres the proof.

paddystan4552d ago (Edited 4552d ago )

Damn. Duke Nukem, Renegade Ops AND Orcs Must Die!? Why are you doing this to me Gabe? You know I MUST buy these games because of the cheap price, I already have too many untouched games on Steam. Steam is REALLY dangerous for my wallet when it is sales. And this is the first day!! God, my wallet already have began screaming "I hate good Steam sales!".

Should have happened a long time ago. People wanting refunds after 50 hours in game.

Pc gamers will take this as an excuse to pirate things

KyRo13d ago

I'm not sure why you're getting disgrees. Whilst not all PC gamers are petty, an awful lot of them are lol

Crows9013d ago

Entirely untrue. Not any more petty than console gamers. The only large difference is console gamers don't have much of a choice.

Michiel198913d ago

Not sure why you're getting agrees. an awful lot of console gamers are overemotional twinks ready to go to war over a plastic box, I'll take being a pc gamer then.

Speaking about overgeneralizing much.

"X" type of gamer conversations are cringe

qalpha13d ago

Daily reminder that 'TheGamer' is a corporate-generated, anti-gamer, anti-consumer, clickbait web site. They are mostly A.I. generated articles that villainize gamers. They provide nothing positive and actively try to provoke and divide the community through extreme view points and politics. Do not give them any clicks.

Inverno13d ago

Only scumbags? As if people don't play their games on console put in the most amount of hours and return it to GameStop and trade it in for another game. But also how many people are actually do this? And what games have been allowed to be refunded?

DustMan13d ago

You can refund any game you've purchased as long as it hasn't been longer than two weeks, and you've played less than 2 hours. I wish they would change it to 3 hours because some RPG's have so much exposition that you may only get an hour total of complete gameplay. That's my only knock on it. I've refunded plenty of stuff I was just curious to try. I typically stay away from Early Access titles which are the only ones affected by this policy change.

Inverno13d ago

Apparently early access doesn't count, only complete games with a play early preorder bonus.

Gaming4Life198113d ago

I definitely know if I want a refund in 2 hours.

SegaSaturn66913d ago

I never liked refunding anything. Even if a film is bad, i dont want my money back. Sometimes things just aren't for me, and it's not the creator's fault necessarily.

Gaming4Life198113d ago

I feel you and i have never walked out on a bad movie cause I payed my money. I also don't refund games cause I'm a gamer and I know what to buy lol. I think having a digital refund is great.
