I am honestly far more excited for T2 as a D2 fan. For one the guys who founded Runic Games were the same guys who founded and worked at Blizzard North... you know... the guys that made Diablo 1 and 2. It annoys me a bit that Diablo is entirely carried by name and just the 'blizzard' name. It's like the recent COD game with Infinity Ward not even being the same company it was when the other two games came out.

Personally for me from what I played of Torchlight, what I've seen of 2, and what I've seen of D3, it appears that T2 is gonna please me a hell of a lot more as someone who refers D2 as one of his favorite games ever. I am still keen to play D3, but not as much as I originally was. This guy in the article seems to be perceiving similar to me, and he's actually had hands on with both.

I really liked torchlight and an excited for torchlight 2, but i thought it was supposed to come out in July, but it was delayed and delayed again.

I am excited for this game but I wont be able to play it for quite a while if diablo 3 comes out first. But I will play this for sure anyways eventually, I just hope it comes out soon, Ive been waiting for a while now.

The addition of Co-op will be awesome.

Edit-- Yeah panda I hear what your saying about that. I was surprised how much torchlight reminded me of diablo 2, especially the music sounded so similar. I later found out many of the prole from diablo made this and it really shows. I love both games and I just wish one of them would come out soon.

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33424d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.
