Back To Karkand Maps to Have a Separate Playlist?

Interesting to see what they will do with this. I think it would make since to separate the maps so you don't have to screw people over who only have original game.

Ah man i can't wait to get Back to Karkand! Karkand and Oman are like the best maps every in the history of online MP. Wake Island is looking awesome as well bur Karkand and Oman for me are just awesome.

As far as a separate playlist......I don't play every map and i only play Caspian Border, Operation firestorm, Kharg island and have already migrated towards severs with these maps as the only ones in the rotation.

Dont really mind either way, although it would be handier if it wasnt like Vietnam, where it was completely separate from the rest of the game.
Which reminds me, all the new guns wont be separate from the rest, like, can you use the weapons already on the game in the Karkland maps? Surely.

Regardless, cant wait for this, the maps look great and the little bit i played of BF2 i really liked the maps. Also, more destruction!

If by "people", you mean the server admin, then yes, people can already choose what their play list will be.

Unless you're talking about consoles, I have no clue how those servers operate.

It will, on the maps list on the server browser, the maps have (BF3). So the Karkand maps may have (B2K). But maybe the playlists will include B2K only or just BF3 or B2K.

Yeah this is a real mystery. Back to Karkand is already built into the Battlelog filter. So it seems likely that those maps will just become part of the rotation.

Then again, since BtK has exclusive weapons and maps, it may have to be run on separate servers.

They said that the weapons will definitely carry over into vanilla BF3. Once you unlock them through those "assignments" you will have access to them in the reg. playlist.
