If there was an end of gen award system capcom would get the award for worst and most lazy developer and this gen.

Tanir4553d ago (Edited 4553d ago )

wrong, that would go to activision.

Capcom lazy? not sure how, well except for them having ninja theory make a game for them, besides that, yeah they dlc milk but atleast their games are newish, with dragons dogma, asura's wrath etc.

i dont see infinity ward making anything new, or doing anything new in their games

COD has been the same game since MW. and MW3 proves it.

besides um announcing 20 pieces of dlc for the year, thats pathetic

ViciousHamster4553d ago

I knew somebody was going to bring up activision.
Well I disagree activision are just doing what any company in there position would.
Capcom drove resident evil into a ditch, gave away devil may cry, abandoned mega man, dead rising maker resigns, they make terrible dlc and overprice it. And remake their fighting games with a few new tweaks and charge full price for it.

tigertron4553d ago

don't forget Square-Enix guys!

FlashBack4553d ago

Both are bad, but Capcom is worse, I only bought RE5 Gold Edition from them, never again, NEVER, probably

fei-hung4553d ago

Capcom is cheap as it milks anythin it gets its hands on, but they haven't been as bad as Activision which has done nothing more but offer COD/MW this gen.

Capcom atleast gave us:
SF4
M vc C3
Monster Hunter
Bionic COmmando
Lost Planet
RE5
Dead Rising
Asura's Wrath
Dragons Dogma

From which, most the above games are average at the very least.

icewater854553d ago (Edited 4553d ago )

Asura's Wrath & Dragons Dogma are great games that I'm getting day one. I wouldn't mind trying a monster hunter game also.

ViciousHamster4553d ago

Realistically speaking call of duty has too many reviewers and fan boys riding its c*ck so they would award it best developer because its mainstream.
I know they shouldn't but tell that to the millions that bought the game day 1.
Capcom where one of the best developers back in the days of the PS1 and then after that they just stooped down to where they are today.
It's kind of sad really they used to make great games.

Ddouble4553d ago

lol, just after they said SFxT would only have disk dlc they had to ruin it by announcing this.

I know this isn't new and other publishers have done it before but why resurrect it Capcom.

SDF Repellent4553d ago (Edited 4553d ago )

What ever happened to up,up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A? I missed those days.

Knushwood Butt4553d ago

You can't nickel and dime 'up,up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A'.

I played the first, and I bought #4. Other than that, strangely haven't played any of the others. I'll get round to it one day though I guess.
