"I’ve never been much of a fan of tower defense games. Other than the brilliant Plants Versus Zombies and the entertaining Sanctum, I have pretty much ignored the whole genre. I think it’s something to do with the fact I find it distressingly similar to the worst part of RTS games. The part when your base is over run by hordes of enemies and all you can do is watch in horror and sob. Actually it’s not similar; it’s basically the exact same thing. Tower Defence games are a genre set up to remind me how bad I am at RTS games. I guess that’s why I try to avoid them. That said, Dungeon Defenders managed to lure me into playing with its fantastic, cutesy, cell shaded graphics and promise of online action RPG/ tower defence co-op."
