Ryan M. of iNintendo.net writes, "Super Mario 64 delivered an undeniably revolutionary impact upon the video game industry, and its influence would be felt years after its release. Several new 3-D platformers, many built in the same vein as Mario's first 3-D outing, graced both the Nintendo 64 and Playstation; and with the platformer genre in a surge hopes were high for a follow-up title to Super Mario 64. Despite initial plans for a sequel, Mario's next great adventure would not see release until the Gamecube era. With the plumber sitting on the sidelines, the task fell to the UK developer Rareware to develop a platformer that would improve upon Super Mario 64. The end result was Banjo Kazooie: a game that technically surpassed Super Mario 64 in every conceivable manner."
Rare has had an astonishing journey since being founded in 1985. But of the 125 titles released to date, which are the 7 best Rare games?

Dave writes, "Banjo-Kazooie is a perfect franchise to bring back. Re-jigging it for modern consoles or creating a sequel will breathe life into a beloved series that has brought joy to millions of gamers for the last 25 years."
A new Conker would be nice too, and a new Diddy Kong Racing would make a nice change as well over the standard racers like Mario Kart.
I’ve been waiting my whole life for another banjo kazooie sequel! Imagine a new entry with all of the ingenuity and new ideas they would have after modern platformers like Mario Odyssey
We had one with Yooka Laylee and it was trash and hardly anyone bought it. Let the nostalgia die, as much as I like platformers, we don't need another Banjo Kazooie, the game was mid at best.
Just give up, leave Banjo-Kazooie in the past. They will never be able to recreate what made it and Banjo-Tooie good on N64 today, especially not by being owned by Microsoft.
I've never played one of these games.
love the heck out of Banjo-Kazooie
One of the best platformers EVER!
Rare and the N64 was my favorite part of that era of gaming, everything they did I loved. It is still amazing to me that Nintendo launched with Mario 64 and didn't do a sequel. To me that was the last great Mario game. I hated the water pack in "Sunshine" and was dissapointed with motion control and running on balls for "Galaxy". I want a proper Mario game with a real controller. Too bad next generation will rely on more gimmicks.
