I think the Uncharted franchise is the best franchise ever that does what it does...cinematic gameplay. As far as best this generation, thats HIGHLY subjective. I thought that San Andreas was the best game I've ever played last generation, so given my tastes, I expect a game like Saints Row: The Third to possibly take my "best game this gen" title...since its pretty much San Andreas 100x

As a Japanese gamer who is a Japnese games die hard fan who despised Western made games presentation, graphics design in favor of Japanese style of graphics like MGS4 & FF series....Uncharted 2 is the only game that made me believe in western developers ability to deliver stunning graphics on top of solid gameplay. Naughty Dog has done their homework very well. A homework that is so well made Uncharted 2 single handedly raised videogaming standard & quality surpass most Hollywood movies in terms of production value, entertainment value, and innovation. Uncharted made Hollywood executive's head turn and look at how great video games quality has become. Its the game that best represented the Playstation brand's progressive, forward thinking & drive for gaming excellence. Since 1995, Playstation's goal is to remove the stigma that video games are for kids only. For the gamers that got past Mario & Sonic, it also was able to bring platforming genre to a much more mature gaming audience, a very hard thing to do.

Who cares what amazes you. I played a lot of games in my life and I am most impressed by the Uncharted franchise. I'm not saying other games suck or can't compare, or I don't think other games deserve that title either.

Yes, I think Uncharted is the best single player series story wise ever created. Does that mean that everyone, like Chuk5, agrees? Nope.

Definitely is the best series to come out this gen & one of the best of all time. I dont mean to bring up Batman AC but the reason I brang it up is because just like a few gems which didnt get enough credit for bringing an amazing single player experience with uncharted drakes fortune & heavenly sword which in my opinion were just as good as Batman AC but because they were exclusive to 1 system, they were criticised for not being long enough & not praised for what amazing experience it brought us at its time which u couldnt find on any other game at that time. I can almost bet if uncharted 3 didnt have online multiplayer, reviewers would have burned the game for it but its not the case for Batman AC which reminds me of GTA4 which was a fantastic game, just not as good as reviewers made it out to be.

Uncharted definitely is the best of the generation. It only got better and better with each release and it manages to out-do itself several times flawlessly. Expect many GotY awards for U3. :)

To some people sure.. But not all. This is all opinionated stuff. However uncharted has started some trends that other games will aspire too. It gets credit for that.
