November Means War!

Not only are a ridiculous amount of great triple-A games slated for release next month, but so many of these already have massive followings eagerly awaiting them. Quite frankly, there are going to be a lot of video games sold in November. Now, this should be a good thing for the gaming industry in general, but I have a feeling it's going to negatively impact individual franchises.

There is KOFXIII too.
Uncharted 3, MGS HD collection, L.A. Noire complete ed and KOFXIII are coming out in November and I don't have enough money for all of them. T_T
But, I will not miss Uncharted 3.

I've been gaming a long time and have been through what I felt were some really good Novembers.

But, this is hands down the greatest November of all time.

I am already swamped trying to fit in equal game time amongsts some great titles, but November is going to be sickening.

The three juggernauts (What we all have been waiting for):

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 no matter how the kids on the internet try to downplay it. No matter how many gamers buy Battelfield 3. COD: MW3 is the 300 pound gorilla in the room. Meet the NEW top selling game of all time onthe 360 and PS3..Black Ops sales were only a preview to this monster.

Skyrim..the biggest RPG of this gen that is not named Final Fantasy. I simply cannot wait to literally be transported into this fantasy world. Preoder paid in full..receipt in plastic.

Uncharted 3..I laughed when I saw all those lists of exclusives for PS3 earlier this year, because there is only ONE that truly mattered. Naughty Dog's Masterpiece Franchise. I've done pretty good staying away from all of the bazillion screenshot leaks, but I can't wait to be literally blown away by what these geniuses pull off this go round. Simply THE Must buy PS3 game of the year.

The TWO fan Faves (Meaning fans of these franchise will be there day one..no matter HOW MANY other great titles are released during the same time period):

Assassins Creed and Halo Anniversary

The funnest game that most of us won't have time to play or money to buy:

Saints Row 3

Greatest time to be a gamer...a broke gamer

Ok here is the thing. I already pre ordered BF3 but I so want to pre order Uncharted 3 as well but guess what? I am going to wait for that UNCHARTED 3 Collector's Edition to come down to say $59.99. I have absolutely NO idea how I am going to manage to stay away from U3 and I might fold at the very last minute and pick up a copy in November but I soooo want that collector's edition. It looks super cool!

mgs collection now coming out in feb 2012 in Europe :(

FragGen4582d ago (Edited 4582d ago )

Will wait for UC3 GotY and Skyrim Complete editions but that is just a personal choice I understand some players want it now but, personally, my game queue is still filled up with a bunch of current Fall releases RDR GotY, Spacemarine, Deus Ex, and soon, LA Noire Complete, and MGS HD.

I'm sort of done with the DLC thing for the non-FPS games. For the FPS's I like to get them day one still because of the social/multiplayer aspect, i.e. everyone else is online playing them day one and its fun to all learn the game together, etc.

In about a 6-9 months, I'll be going crazy picking up collected editions and discounted versions of some of these great titles.

It's been a great 2011 for gamers.

Personally buying Uncharted 3, Zelda Skyward Sword, Super Mario 3D Land, Tales of Abyss 3DS, Modern Warfare 3, Disgaea 4and Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Skyrim can wait until Christmas as it seems like one of those games where you have to devote time to pretty much only that one game to get the most out of it. November will be a good month. Catherine also comes out here in the UK in November if I remember correctly, but that can also wait until December like Skyrim.

MGS HD? I'll wait until its out for Vita and pick it up then.

Octobers been really good though I think. Dark Souls is a great game. Still loving that. Gonna start Arkham City tonight, and Battlefield 3 coming our way next week. That BF3 launch trailer got me pumped. Can't believe how many great games are coming in such a short space of time.

Bubbles to EVILDEAD360, he also shares the fanboyless enthusiasm a lot of us have for the great days and nights indoors we'll have with AAA titles stacked higher than our TV's these coming winter months.

I'm getting Modern Warfare 3, Uncharted 3, DBZ Ultimate Tenkaichi and Saints Row The Third.

Call of Duty Players Disappointed by $80 B.E.A.S.T. Glove Bundle Deal

Recently, players of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone were met with a new bundle featuring the B.E.A.S.T. Glove, inspired by King Kong's armament in the Godzilla x Kong movie. However, the $80 price tag attached to this themed accessory left many Call of Duty fans feeling underwhelmed.

Morons that allow themselves to be milked continuously by this company is the definition of irony.
Spend more $$ and you'll end up In easier lobbies so you win both ways when ya spend that cash

Controversy in the COD community feels like it happens within an alternate timeline. Activision will take the piss with something, there will be a momentary fuss about it, and then they will forget about it and carry on anyway. Repeat this cycle literally every year for the rest of time.

They call that a crack head! Thats what this is really about, its an addiction. People who dont smoke cigarettes look and laugh at the addicts that spend $8-$10 a pack, but they cant help themselves, they are addicted. That same analogy applies perfectly to the whole MT industry. Only an addict that was not thinking clearly would spend this kind of money on something so frivolous. A round of multiplayer provides the same high a person gets from scratching a lotto ticket, or putting money on a sports bet. MT in general need to really be regulated because you have a generation of kids becoming adults who grew up only knowing the MT era of gaming. Its normal to them and they will in turn teach their kids the same by just being a gaming parent and getting their kids involved with them in gaming. Thats why no matter how ridiculous the headlines keep getting out of the MT industry, it never seems to fade or go away.

I'm so tired of hearing about what they're doing with this game, its never going to change and it's never going to value the consumer over money, furthermore the people who engage so heavily in the microtransactions I guess allegedly are having a blast and can't wait to do it some more this year when the new version of the game drops.

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast31d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22931d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko31d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way
