Games That Could Have Benefited From Being Delayed This Fall

Don't know about the PC version, but I'm playing and loving every minute of Rage on the 360.

I laugh at how Carmack's PS3 comments got people in Call of Duty hate mose. But I could care less, I love this game.

But, Carmack did admit he shouldn't have tried to develop the PC version at the same time as the consoles. I guess he learned his lesson, but either way the final product is an absolute blast.

The Tintin game from Ubisoft looks pretty good as well. It has the backing Peter Jackson (who himself is an avid gamer) and has all the quirky art styling of the Tintin books.

It would be a bit of a shame if a rare, potentially good film tie-in got lost among the blockbusters.

I've been to the Tin Tin museum in Brussels and I have to say as a fan the film looks amazing. Just my two pennies. I know it's off topic.

Thats why I just wait a while before buying games. In just a couple months, you can usually pick it up at a reduced price.

I don't believe BF3 would benefit from being pushed back. DICE would do it if they needed to get everything in there.

Resistance still would have been Resistance...an IP CLEARLY not too many people care about, the 3rd time around.

The first 2 games certainly didn't set the charts on fire when released, but sold well into the millions. R3 will be no different.

To be fair the games sell pretty well over time. I think R2 is at 2 mil at this point.

The issue I see in the series is that it has zero consistency so you never know what your getting with each game.

To me this is the best shooter of the year, the controls are absolution amazing, this game made RAGE feel archaic. The aiming is so smooth, it just feels better than anything I've played before.

Yup, the controls are pitch perfect in every single way. It barely even feels like you have a controller in your hands.

The only thing that felt like it needed more work was the ladder animations. That just looked a little odd.

The shotgun's reload animation could also use some improvement. And they could have toned down the blur a bit (get rid of QAA and increase the res). And maybe add some sound effects when you melee a chimerans head/limb off (or just get rid of the silly melee decapitation all together).

I think it was like last fall or something when a bunch of games got delayed into the next year and I was mad and a lot of people were.
But now when we have all these big name titles coming out its a little too much games in on little section, it like every week till Mid-November theres a big title coming out

Resistance was delayed a year already. It was ready for release, at least the SP was. I expected a few to be pushed back but that hasn't happened yet.

Hmmm, if they delayed Resistance, it would only hurt peoples perception of it. Had it been scheduled to release early next year it would have been better off.

Only from a sales point of view, I dont think quality wise it needed more time. Its very polished and a great game as is.

I think this games will start doing better in a few months when everyone has played and finished the "bigger" games of this year and need new games to play.

X-Men Destiny... The game looks bad (on many levels) and got a lot of bad reviews.

From the vids, it looks like SK didn't even bother putting forth a real effort. Don't quite know if more time would have helped.

Resistance 3 definitely needed to release next year. Too many good games coming out this year. People are saving their money for those.(Not that R3 isn't a good game)

Saints row the third is gonna rock but chances are that ill still be playing uncharted 3 and skyrim... Blockbusters like skyrim deserve the hype because they don't push out these annual reiterations of overrated map packs like Cod...
