That looks f'ing sensational!

BushLitter4590d ago

Yup, can't wait. Have to admit though, the graphics don't seem that much improved. Guess we'll have to wait till AC3 comes out for an engine upgrade.

Quagmire4590d ago

Yeah, the graphics seem to be all over the place, but maybe its the trailers consdiring playing in-game was quite bearable.

I dont think they will have time to do any upgrades for AC3 considering the yearly release, however I hope after AC3, they wait 2 years or until next gen, and really push the technical aspects of the game.

MostJadedGamer4589d ago

AC3 won't have a upgraded engine. You will have to wait til the Next Gen(720, and PS4).

RedDeadLB4590d ago

You know what I want? I want this game to be harder.. It's pointless to run away from your pursuers if you can just massacre them all. I want the game to be fucking hard if the guards discover you. It's all just pointless so far. They find you, you kill them, you go on. I haven't died not once in all the games released so far. That's how easy this is.

BushLitter4590d ago (Edited 4590d ago )

Can't argue with that. It is very easy killing guards in this game, and if it were any other game I would have probably given up on it a long time ago

However, what drives me through the game is the cool platforming sequences in some of the side missions (and main), the truth puzzles, the lairs/dens. And of course, the story.

So while I agree that the combat is pretty basic, there's a whole lot more to this game.

I'm very disappointed to hear that there won't be truth puzzles in Revelations. I know that there will be something else that takes it place, I just hope the puzzles are as challenging as the truth puzzles.

While saying all of that - Arkham City seems to have nailed every element that I love about Assassin's Creed and has fantastic combat. I'm also glad to see an increased focus on the puzzle elements. Have to say, that unless Uncharted 3 pulls a fucking Easter Bunny out of a hat, Arkham City is making a beeline for GOTY crown

RedDeadLB4588d ago

I can't wait to play Arkham City, but Uncharted 3 I will unfortunately miss (PS3 #2 dead).

Even Arkham Asylum was more engaging, challenging and fun than the AC games. Arkham City seems to raise the bar to a whole new level from what I've seen and read.

I am still looking forward to Revelations, to finishing the story. But that's it. It's gameplay doesn't intrigue me that much anymore.

I still have faith in Uncharted 3 and Naughty Dog though. They have proven themselves able to outdo and surprise everyone, so I think with B:AC and U3, everyone wins this year :)

MostJadedGamer4589d ago

Totally agree the complete lack of challeneg in both AC2, and Brotherhood was almost game ruining.

Oldman1004590d ago

They really nailed the music choice for this trailer. I don't think they could have picked a better song for the time period.

MostJadedGamer4589d ago

I don't see how that song fits the time period at all. How in the world does that fit early 16th century Constantinople? It doesn't fit it at all.

Oldman1004589d ago

Lmao i was being sarcastic. I thought it was obvious enough that it didn't need pointing out.

Lirky4590d ago

I didnt think the music was nailed because it didnt fit with the time period. They should of used a cultural theme like that lady singing it was like after matches in ac revelations multiplayer beta.

ArmGunar4590d ago

Can't wait for the game :P

When will you decommission this new one? I’m only asking so I can be happier by not buying it at full price.

bunt-custardly619d ago

The dog Chorizo from FAR CRY 6 has wheelchair legs, so is hardly a decommissioned pet. In fact very useful for digging up dirt.

Historic Eras that Video Games Need to Explore

Xfire writes "Worldbuilding is a crucial part of any story. It's not an easy task to create a believable setting with its own set of rules, customs, traditions and political affiliations and then weave a story into the said setting. Luckily, storytellers and video game writers don't always need to create complex settings when we've got history books as thick as Big Chungus.

Historical eras make a fabulous setting for video games. They've already got the world-building nailed, complete with their own set of rules, customs, traditions and political affiliations. Honestly, I don't think I need to justify the fact that historical eras make an amazing setting for video games. If you don't believe me, just go ahead and play the Ghost of Tsushima or any of the Assassin's Creed games."

The first crusade would be pretty sweet. I’d probably enjoy any of those on your list if they were done respectfully. Like not some dork in Portland making a Russian Revolution game.

Benin Empire, Far East, Central America. Games are pretty biased toward Europe, North America, and the Middle East. There is a very big world out there.
