... but so far Sega's ports have been pretty lazy, so I'll wait to see how it looks in HD before I decide.

gumgum994573d ago

not this one. This one has an engine built by Taxman from Sonic Retro.

caseh4573d ago

Sega, something other than SONIC for a change for christs sake!

gumgum994573d ago

He's Sega's Mascot.

I don't here this with Nintendo, do I?

caseh4573d ago

Nintendo have several other franchises they abuse outside of Mario, at least they spread the love evenly.

All I see from Sega these days is Sonic, Sonic, Sonic and uuhhhh....Sonic! Oh BTW, we'll be releasing Virtua Fighter 5: FS in about a year if we can be bothered...in the meantime we'll deliver another 6 Sonic titles, one for every other month.

Kurylo3d4573d ago

what about aliens : colonial marines, or yakuza games... they are sega.

caseh4573d ago

You name 3 (Yakuza 3+4, aliens) games, i'll name:

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing
Sonic the Hedgehog (2006 video game)
Sonic Unleashed
Sonic Generations
Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Sonic Adventure
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 2
Sonic Free Riders

Honestly *yawn* Loved Yakuza 3/4, only thing productive they've released since VF5 several years back.

RockmanII74573d ago

Over half your list is downloadable games, and some other games you listed haven't come out yet. If that's what your going by, you forgot Sonic CD. Free riders and All Stars racing had Sonic on the cover to sell more copies, so the only real sonic games you listed were 2006, Unleashed, and Generations. 3 games in 6 years isn't milk, if it was then every game franchise this gen would be milked.

Definitely! I own a mint SEGA CD copy of the game and can play it at any time, but to be able to play it on my home theatre would be awesome. I'll be getting this for sure.

NIRVANArazor4573d ago

I have it for the PC but it cant be played anymore.

kingPoS4573d ago (Edited 4573d ago )

Ahh! the memories I can't wait to play this again in widescreen.

Bereaver4573d ago

I can't view youtube at the moment so I'm not sure but....

If it doesn't have those kick ass cartoon scenes. I don't want it.

Sega sells Relic and will cut 240 jobs across UK studios

GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.

The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."

Shame about Creative Assembly, they should have just been allowed to do an Alien Isolation sequel.

just_looken29d ago

It was that garbage coh 3 that did them in only a special team can make a sequel worse in every way even though it was a 10 year gap and the same era.

gold_drake30d ago

I hope they find new jobs in the industry soon.

Jingsing30d ago

Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive probably run on a shoe string budget so that fits into SEGA better lol

SEGA’s Switch Predecessor: What Happened to the Nomad?

Sega had such a turbulent existence from the mid-90s to when they dropped out of console manufacturing entirely in 2001, it’s understandable if you’ve never heard of the Genesis Nomad.
