"The developers behind Modern Warfare 3 may have 99 problems but Battlefield 3 ain’t one. Glen Schofield, general manager of MW3 co-developer Sledgehammer Games, has been singing the praises of their own military shooter as the release date for rival Battlefield 3 is just a week away. "
"Schofield claims that he had not heard of the Battlefield franchise until “five or six months ago,” when Battlefield 3′s marketing campaign began to build up steam."
The developers have provided a little band-aid while PlayStation players attempt to get back into MW3.
Recently, players of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone were met with a new bundle featuring the B.E.A.S.T. Glove, inspired by King Kong's armament in the Godzilla x Kong movie. However, the $80 price tag attached to this themed accessory left many Call of Duty fans feeling underwhelmed.
Morons that allow themselves to be milked continuously by this company is the definition of irony.
Spend more $$ and you'll end up In easier lobbies so you win both ways when ya spend that cash
Controversy in the COD community feels like it happens within an alternate timeline. Activision will take the piss with something, there will be a momentary fuss about it, and then they will forget about it and carry on anyway. Repeat this cycle literally every year for the rest of time.
I'm so tired of hearing about what they're doing with this game, its never going to change and it's never going to value the consumer over money, furthermore the people who engage so heavily in the microtransactions I guess allegedly are having a blast and can't wait to do it some more this year when the new version of the game drops.
The famous comedy duo is the latest example of pop culture becoming one big grey blob
Certain to have some sort of reference to their online store for CBD/THC chews, which is advertising heavily online the last month or two.
The randomness of the multiplayer characters is one of reason I quit playing COD after briefly returning in 2022. We got Space Marines, rappers, tree monsters etc. all in a series called “ Modern Warfare”.
""Schofield claims that he had not heard of the Battlefield franchise until “five or six months ago,” when Battlefield 3′s marketing campaign began to build up steam.""
LOL.....Complete Bullcrap. Are we really supposed to believe that a games developer like yourself hasn't heard of Battlefield...come on man that was the worst lie I've ever heard. He's probably been crapping himself about Battlefield 3 since it was announced, now knowing they have to work even harder (I know...GASP) on MW3 and actually try and put some effort into it.
Are these guys so far up there own arses that they think there game is BEST EVER because it gains a lot of sales. Most people buy it for social interaction Schofield, so they don't feel like the odd one out in school, college, what ever....not for quality. I mean look at this...
"This game is so big between the campaign, the Spec-Ops and the multiplayer, there was so much work to do that I don’t know whether it hit anyone’s mind or not"
Big.....you think the game is big, you could probably fit MW and MW2 on the disc knowing how bare and short the game actually is. With all three MW games you would get a longer single player and probably the same multiplayer since it's mostly the same in all three games. Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Batman AC, Assassins Creed and even Battlefield 3 are BIG games because they'll keep you occupied for longer.
All the Call of Duty franchise really is, is a huge social gimmick for social interaction.
^ One bemused ardvark
They didn't need a beta because they already had MW2 and Black Ops so they have worked out most of the kinks by now.
hasnt heard of battlefield until 6 months ago... sure...
Well he should cause BTF3 Will be awesome and alot better than COD
