Wow assassins creed > uncharted 3 by 100,000.

trunkswd4602d ago

That is compared to the Xbox 360 version of Assassins Creed though. Uncharted 3 is 100,000 ahead of the PS3 version of Assassins Creed.

buddymagoo4602d ago (Edited 4602d ago )

Do sales really matter when it comes to Uncharted 3? We all know it will be incredible based off the last 2. And if you are not playing it, you are missing out!

gamingdroid4602d ago (Edited 4602d ago )

What is going on with Uncharted? I believe the second game, Uncharted 2, sold very well.

Jobesy4602d ago

Uncharted 3 is performing better than Uncharted 2 preorder wise. U2 opened week 1 with nearly a million in worldwide sales so if this chart is anything to go by U3 will open well over a million worldwide sales.

elshadi4602d ago (Edited 4602d ago )

@gamingdroid
uncharted 2 pre order
179,867
uncharted 3 pre order
284,482
it's doing very good
and not every one pre order the game ..they go buy it from game shop
and uncharted 2 is now almost 5M prove that
uncharted 3 will sell more than 6M

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary - Xbox 360 - 342,177

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - PS3 - 284,482

LOL...

Number_134602d ago

Halo Anniversary is going to be the highest selling HD remaster to date.

trunkswd4602d ago

I agree. I expect it to have similar sales to Halo 3: ODST.

gamingdroid4602d ago

I just noticed Halo: CE Anniversary sits above Uncharted 3 on pre-orders.

Hicken4602d ago

Your stealth trolling needs work. Your first two comments are sly digs at Uncharted, and both are pretty poor.

The first Halo game is a legend. It's honestly no surprise that it would have more reserves than UC3.

Your other comment regarding Uncharted 2 was just ignorant, given that UC3 still isn't even out yet, and that pre-orders don't equal sales.

Were there 3 million pre-orders for Gears 3? I can't remember, but I don't think there were. And yet, that's what Gears sold in the first week. There are still about a hundred people who pre-ordered Gears and yet didn't pick it up yet at my store, alone.

Godmars2904602d ago

Despite all the hype around N4G, the GT rivalry, its still only a racing game. Anyone who thinks its numbers are going to be anywhere near something like Halo or Gears is going to be mistaken.

gamingdroid4602d ago (Edited 4602d ago )

How does Forza go on to sell millions?

I agree, the pre-order numbers seem low albeit in a completely different genre that isn't as popular.

edit: turns out Forza 4 is on track with Forza 3 pre-orders:

trunkswd4602d ago

Forza has really good legs, while games like CoD or Gears are more front loaded.

Tarantino_Life4602d ago

We get man. Microsoft is perfect. Even if the preorder numbers for some of their exclusives are low it will sell very well. If Uncharted 3 preorder numbers are low it will not sell very well.Microsoft is God's gift to Mankind and gaming would not exist if it were not for Microsof'ts blessing. You will spin everything Microsoft related into something positive while Sony related as negative. Gamingdroid you are the biggest idiot in these forums. What next? How will you spin the numbers when they have a lesser opening then GT5. I am curious go on!!

elshadi4602d ago

@tarantino_life
i want to give
bubble for funny
and bubble for well said
but i can only give you one
sooo "WELL SAID"

humbleopinion4602d ago

Forza 4 is not only on track with Forza 3, but also not far behind Gran Turismo 5 which was like 250K a week before launch - and this was after quite a few delays.
http://www.vgchartz.com/pre...

Racing games in general (just like football) have the biggest user base in Europe: GT5 for example is the best selling racing game this gen, and it sold over 4M in europe out of a total of 6.5M. It's the second best selling PS3 game, beating games like MW2, GTA IV, Fifa 11 and AC, as well as any other PS3 exclusive. Forza 3 sold almost half of the units in Europe and PGR4 sold about 75% of the total units over ther - and that is despite the fact that the console itself is very US centered. The same goes for the NFS franchise which seem to sell tons of units in Europe.

Wow! BF3 gaining some momentum... on the 360, good to know COD may have some competition this holiday

AngelicIceDiamond4602d ago

Lol looks like Gears took Forzas thunder away maybe Xboxers ( like myself) can't handle multiple pre-order exclusives? I dunno I'm just stating an "out there opinion."

I probably will get disagrees with this comment most likely.

gamingdroid4602d ago (Edited 4602d ago )

Except your opinion is wrong. Forza 4 is performing on par with Forza 3:

Forza Motorsport 4 19,094 182,446 1 week to release
Forza Motorsport 3 18,116 165,484 2 weeks to release

http://www.vgchartz.com/art...

Based on facts from the same source, NOT on opinion.

AngelicIceDiamond4602d ago

That is good news Thanks, I had a feeling I was wrong.

Ryo-Hazuki4602d ago (Edited 4602d ago )

Yeah but wasn't Forza 3 bundled with the xbox during christmas holidays? PPl count those units as sold. I don't think Forza 4 wont match Forza 3 because of that reason

4602d ago
Jobesy4602d ago

As well as Forza 3 being bundled, there also weren't as many compelling titles to play on the 360 at that time as there are this year.

qwertyz4602d ago

forza 4 will probably end up selling as much as forza 3 which is around 4.5 million units

dirtrider4602d ago

lol at ryo- well then i guess a lot of sony games "haven't sold well neither since some were bundled"

see jack ass- quit putting your foot in your mouth.

gamingdroid4602d ago (Edited 4602d ago )

With the bigger user base I expected Forza 4 to have larger pre-order numbers.

It is likely to be on par with Forza 3 sales, but that is under performing.

Maybe sales will pick up, I dunno.

maniacmayhem4602d ago

I believe Icysub was referring to certain commenters who claim that the reason "X" doesn't sell is because there is just so many other "X's" to chose from.

Which is an absolute ridiculous claim that has now shred of evidence or truth.

Call of Duty Players Disappointed by $80 B.E.A.S.T. Glove Bundle Deal

Recently, players of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone were met with a new bundle featuring the B.E.A.S.T. Glove, inspired by King Kong's armament in the Godzilla x Kong movie. However, the $80 price tag attached to this themed accessory left many Call of Duty fans feeling underwhelmed.

Morons that allow themselves to be milked continuously by this company is the definition of irony.
Spend more $$ and you'll end up In easier lobbies so you win both ways when ya spend that cash

melons35d ago

Controversy in the COD community feels like it happens within an alternate timeline. Activision will take the piss with something, there will be a momentary fuss about it, and then they will forget about it and carry on anyway. Repeat this cycle literally every year for the rest of time.

Gridknac35d ago

They call that a crack head! Thats what this is really about, its an addiction. People who dont smoke cigarettes look and laugh at the addicts that spend $8-$10 a pack, but they cant help themselves, they are addicted. That same analogy applies perfectly to the whole MT industry. Only an addict that was not thinking clearly would spend this kind of money on something so frivolous. A round of multiplayer provides the same high a person gets from scratching a lotto ticket, or putting money on a sports bet. MT in general need to really be regulated because you have a generation of kids becoming adults who grew up only knowing the MT era of gaming. Its normal to them and they will in turn teach their kids the same by just being a gaming parent and getting their kids involved with them in gaming. Thats why no matter how ridiculous the headlines keep getting out of the MT industry, it never seems to fade or go away.

X-2333d ago

I'm so tired of hearing about what they're doing with this game, its never going to change and it's never going to value the consumer over money, furthermore the people who engage so heavily in the microtransactions I guess allegedly are having a blast and can't wait to do it some more this year when the new version of the game drops.

Cheech And Chong Are Coming To Call Of Duty Because Everything Must Be Consumed

The famous comedy duo is the latest example of pop culture becoming one big grey blob

Christopher49d ago

Certain to have some sort of reference to their online store for CBD/THC chews, which is advertising heavily online the last month or two.

Sciurus_vulgaris49d ago

The randomness of the multiplayer characters is one of reason I quit playing COD after briefly returning in 2022. We got Space Marines, rappers, tree monsters etc. all in a series called “ Modern Warfare”.

OtterX49d ago (Edited 49d ago )

I think if there was ever a time for a competitor to rise up and take away some of Call of Duty's thunder, the time would be now. A military shooter that takes itself seriously, not sold out to Fortnitism. Easier said than done, I know... but the time is ripe.

I can't stand this stuff either.

Palitera49d ago

There are tons of MP shooters that make no profit, if you're looking for one of those

fsfsxii49d ago

You guys have been saying this shit since 2009. Fortunately, nobody’s bringing down cod anytime soon, if ever.

crazyCoconuts49d ago

I agree. I really didn't like how the silliness takes away the gritty origins. That and all the crazy effects... dunno. I'm still playing it but I'd love for someone to steal their cheese and cater to grittier players

OtterX49d ago

@fsfsxii It's not so much wanting COD itself to die as it is wanting this silliness to die. Like CrazyCoconuts said, it takes from the grittiness. Many OG COD players want a straightup Military shooter experience, not silly costume time at Carnival.

is this what the kids want these days a pair of iconic stoners who were big in the 70s and have kind of held on I enjoyed their movies decades ago but I never recall the movie where cheech infiltrates a enemy base while chong snipes for support guess I must of missed that one

Man I'm getting to old for this

Knightofelemia49d ago (Edited 49d ago )

Cheech just looks so wrong in the picture.

Profchaos49d ago
